Aye cos Grant Mccann is reet modern. Absoloute cusp of innovation that fella. It would fry Keanes head what Mccann knows about football nowadays from being in the Doncaster and Hull dressing rooms. Youve sold it to me, this Mccann bloke has had his finger on the pulse managing Honeyman whilst Keane has been stagnating polishing his PL medals, get him in.

Not really. Ireland are a poor national side so will have mainly been playing against better opposition.

Sunderland should be the best team in 95% of every game of the season

The quality of opposition will determine the quality of the performance e

Think he’s just saying they’ve got the potential to be awkward but everything’s agreed in principle as long as they don’t act themselves last minute as we know they can do. End of the day kyril has the final say and he hasn’t buckled to them yet.

With all due respect, when you look at Liverpool, Man City, Spain (peak years) etc that really couldn't be further from the truth.

These teams have helped elevate football to new levels, I'm not sure how anyone could use "keeping it simple" when describing any of the above.

The simple fact is mate, football management has moved beyond banging walls and battle cries to get players going pre match.

Neill Lennon was slated by the Celtic players for how out of touch he was with modern football and coaching techniques.

Modern footballers want to be challenged constantly, they want to be tested and push themselves to limits maybe no-one thought possible.

If we were a premier league side with players on big wages I would possibly agree with this

We aren’t though, we are a league one side in need of a lift to hopefully get automatic promotion. I can’t think of a more suited candidate than Keane. Especially looking at the other favourites at the bookies for the job.

Not should he -he is the owner ..he seems a confident strong young lad who will know how disliked those two are now

Bringing Defoe in, the players are gonna want to put on their best play…none of them will want to look like a shitbag in front of him!

Bringing Keane in will bring accountability. You add them both up and you cannot lift this club emotionally or attitude wise any higher, imo!
