Absolutely agree about Keane being one of the biggest names in football mate I just think its a slippery slope when you start having to sell the club to people and I don't want to see us trying to tell some average Championship player we are good enough for them.

Like I say its each to their own and I can see where your coming from and realise I'm probably totally in the minority with my thoughts 👍
Agree with the player analogy mate 100%.
But Keane is different class mate.

I hate it as much as you buddy but is where we are for now.

Not for much longer eh?

👍👍👍

Such is the excitement now around Roy Keane i'd say if he wants it then there is no other option - any other manager would be starting with such negativity it would be doomed to fail.

For better or worse i think we have to go with Keane
What if Keane doesn't want the job, as it sounds it's his to refuse. I fear anyone else is on a hiding to nothing if he knocks us back.

I think he's desperate to have one last go at management as seen an interview where he said he'd give up on the idea if nothing happens in the next 12 months or something.
He mentioned he'd drop down to the top of league one and he said before he feels he has unfinished business at safc.
Add in the new young owner and direction and I think he will take it. I think it would nag away at him in later years if he doesn't try

Other way round for me. Warnock was poor for Boro. He's finished and his style of football is at odds with the squad we have assembled. There are literally no positives. With McCann at least he got Hull up as champions last year and was doing OK this year. Why would you bring in Warnock when we have a squad of players who are recruited to play fast, progressive football. I don't really want McCann but compared to Lennon and Warnock I can see some benefits.
I don’t think McCann was doing ok at all: Hull fans hate him and he got them relegated in the first place.

I don’t want someone like that holding us back, rather give Warnock a pop at promotion based on nowt but experience and a few rockets….then try again in the summer to recruit a better fit.
