Not specifically saying the current coaches would take that game, just prepare for it, suggests so.

Not sure I can take much longer wondering if it’s going to be Keane or Lennon. Going to be over the moon or absolutely gutted, no in between:
Don’t believe Lennon as a real option, Warnock and McCann more likely
 

He took Sunderland from bottom of the Championship to Premiership football and retained that status and won a trophy at Sunderland.

That's a pretty decent achievement given the state the club were in at the time, having just lost to Bury (I was at that game) and I think Bury were bottom of league 2 at the time.
I was there too… absolutely miserable night
 
We have a really clear criteria on the type of head coach that we want to work for the club, what the requirements are of that individual, and what we are judging them against.
