Don’t tell the Irish that!I think his tone and demeanor is just him. I watched it and didn’t detect any negativity. McGeady is just a dour, dry Scotsman
Nice recording![]()
Mumble mumble it’s still my club mumble fans lift mumbleWhat does McGeady actually say?! Can’t understand him![]()
Who cares? What does McGeady actually say?! Can’t understand him![]()
Exactly. One of the first things Bruce said was that he was going to be shopping at Harrods as opposed to Tesco (or words to that effect)Funds weren't limited at all. Stop telling lies.
It can’t have been that bad of a state if it was our longest PL runWe were left with another 9 years of Premier League football
for the most part just hanging on.We were left with another 9 years of Premier League football
Bruce who signed Bent and Gyan for huge money at the time, that Bruce?Bruce had to get rid of that sh*te and the result was that funds were limited. It affected us for a long time after.
Oh they’ll love Keane calling them shit thenAs much as Craig Hopeless has been a figure of amusement over the past few months, his interview on Off the Ball this morning was interesting. There was a feeling among the leadership that Johnson was too cosy to players. Speakman called the meeting with the players after he was sacked and laid out a very forward thinking plan for the club, but some players were still unhappy with the decision.
The idea is to give the club a short, sharp shock. Happy we're not completely abandoning the strategy we've put in place, and that it's not just KLD driving the Keane appointment. Still not sure about it, but it's going to be bloody entertaining either way.
Who cares?
Exactly mate. The fella evidently doesn't like Keane and what he's saying is completely false. It can’t have been that bad of a state if it was our longest PL run![]()
With only 17 games left and no transfer window, we have only 1 option and that's an immediate impact new manager bounce.I was really doubtful. Never liked the way it ended last time.
Yet I'll be happy with him back. We have tried all kinds of managers and failed. Can Keane get our shower of shit up, who knows but by christ could it really be any worse than the last 4 years if he comes back?
OkMe. I just asked
We’re in the third division. If he’s expecting that sort of wage we wouldn’t even be in talks with him.Can we even afford Keane?
last time he was here he was on a reported £5m a year.
and that was 14 years ago
I know he joined as a winger, but he effectively replaced Jordan Henderson in the long run (Craig Gardner certainly couldn't). Seb was miles more effective in a midfield three. I can't help but think that a midfield with a fit and well Lee Cattermole, Seb Larsson and Jordan Henderson would probably have you playing European football every season.I like him as well. Seen a few people describing him as a good servant / pro and agree entirely. What he wasn't however was an improvement to our side or value for his salary and he needed shoehorning in at times.
He was very diplomatic tbf...whilst then bigging up Defoe when asked about him later.Just that he knew him, played with and had been coached by him. Wasn’t his job to comment on him as a coach or if he should be hired. That’s down to the board but he’s held in high regard here so the fans would get a boost.
Just the tone and demeanour over didn’t seem like he was up for the idea. But it’s well known he isn’t a big fan of Keane isn’t it?
and that was down to Keane, was it?for the most part just hanging on.
