Just watched that from start to finish.
If anyone doesn't want Roy Keane back at Sunderland after watching that, I give up.
That clip was brilliant and makes you look again at Keane's qualities. I still think it's the wrong move - I don't think we should ever go back to past heroes, but I love Keane and if he comes back I'll support him 100%. Another magic carpet ride :)

Iam for him coming, although I think he'll be demanding plenty of spending money from KLD so possible clashes down the line there. On top of what will be his own high salary.
Maybe he has been told, get us up with what you have and then I'll give you the resources for the next step.

Would welcome the appt but I can’t see any future with SD and his red trousered sidekick still involved. Keane wouldn’t lower himself to that level surely.

Sorry for longer post than usual but I need you all to convince me this could be the right appointment and not a romanticised mistake.
Hear me out keanos 1st stint as manager co-incided with the 3 seasons in a row I got to every game league, cups even friendlies, I was early 20's on the drink each game we were brilliant to follow that promotion season some of the best memories, however Keane spent a lot of cash to get us out the league and also hampered us spending again in the prem, he leads through fear a tactic that this day n age of weak minded players really doesn't work his stints at other clubs didn't really work out either.

I want to be excited by this I honestly do I've remembered the young hungry team he put together with the few wise heads to help and of course nothing less than 100% is good enough for keano, the way it should be, I think honestly I'm just fearful of another disappointing kick in the balls come may
The obvious aim of this is to build such momentum at the club that it carries us over the line I reckon.

It's not a bad plan either. Between Keane and Defoe your likely gonna put a few thousand on the gates, maybes even bring some supporters back who went missing over the last five years where we've been in free fall.

Crowd singing and chanting through matches, get a proper buzz going before, during and after the match. This hopefully inspires the players to give it a bit extra and not put their heads down when the going gets a little tough.

I think as well Keane would accept the collapses we have, he'd be looking to keep th defence tighter, sort that soft middle out and he'd have players playing the full match right to the end (remember how many injury time points we picked up previous).

It could all fall to shit but that's a risk with everyone tbf. Erikson went to Leicester and people had in their heads that he should do well just because he managed at a much higher level but it doesn't work like that.

We've had Moyes who is a proven decent Premier League manager before and after us but shite here just because it didn't click (and many other reasons).

Sometimes it's just about finding the right manager for the right team at the right time. No reason why Keane can't do it. I think he's worth a punt as any one else we've been linked with so far.

Is anyone watching SSN ? Just wondering if Downie is reporting from our place. Be a bit hypocritical after that tweet he sent out the other day !
Not newsworthy last week because we are in league 1, but the second Roy Maurice Keane rocks up........ 🤔
👀
Where’s he at? I’ve got a bag full of dog shit with his name on it.

It is possible to dislike your gaffer on a personal level while at the same time time respect him if he makes you better at your job.
That’s completely different to bullying though. I think Keane the man and the tv persona are very different.
