I keep seeing people say he will hate lon. Personally think he will absolutely love him. Aye he hasn’t got the most talent in the world but he is ultra professional, works his balls off, Will play anywhere without moaning, Will play injured and probably the most likely player we have to battle a game out.

Every appointment like this is a risk, for me Keane represents a calculated one.

Look at the players at our disposal, they need that belief and with Keane we’d be pulling in 40k+ and he’d give this young squad the mentality to thrive with that backing

Spot on for me mate, the last 4 have never previously and will never again get a chance at club the size of Sunderland.
Sunderland needs big characters to carry the weight of expectation big Sam was a perfect fit at the time and should be the benchmark of the kind of character we need to attract.
My initial thoughts were no way not Roy Keane but the more I think about it the more it makes sense.
Pure box office make people enjoy going to the match again get excited get the place bouncing. Hold my hand up as being part of the problem go to the match cos it’s what I do too many like me where apathy has set in.
FFS Lee Johnson man from day one acted like he couldn’t believe he’d manage to blag his way in. Talks the talk but shame he wore callipers.

That's just not true. Keane could turn it down for plenty of understandable reasons that are nothing to do with how hard the owner has tried to get him

Probably yes, but I can’t see him putting up with that for long. The problem I see is who is really responsible for player recruitment because, Stewart apart I don’t see much to cheer about, we still lack pace and physical strength after four years down here.

It goes against everything most of us said we were buying into just one year ago.
At least when he was last here he was still relevant as a name to the players we had or then bought in the transfer window. Players like Kavanagh, Connolly, Edwards, the young ManU lads. This time our players know him as the angry man off sky who hasn't done owt of note in management for over ten years. Baffling the way our support seems to fawn over certain ex players/manager's like lovestruck teenagers. Always looking to the past.
