Roy Keane

Im not even sure Keane is that much of a 'mentalist' as people think. He's a lot more media savvy than he makes out. Cant help but think he practices these stares and rants in the camera for full effect nowadays.

All this 'Eee imagine Roy against league one refs' etc etc is embarrassing as fuck

Agreed.

A lot of misconceptions about him are regularly made and bigged up 24/7.

Have you heard it’s there if he wants it too?
Watched the overlap interview with Keane and he says he is keen to get back into management at championship or upper league 1. I think he will be dying for the chance, I don’t think he would have come back under SD regime but he know KLD is from good footballing background. The overlap interview is a great watch because it really gives you an insight of his expectations and attitude to standards be that in training or match preparation.

So wiil it be 2 legends at the SOL this weekend, Keano and Defoesy followed by Cissesy paying his own fare and digs while he has a trial?
Which chant will be aired the most ?
Naaa na naa nananana, nananana , keeeannoo.

Or

Naaaaananananaaananananaaananananana jermain defoooooeeeee

Be f***ing buzzing

Agree mate

Imagine Roy against league one refs though. He’ll knack them all

He asked cookie to find a tactics board and bring it into the dressing room at half time with the sole intention of karate kicking it in half. Pretty mental

Keane is pure box office. This club works best with the big characters as a focal point. Your Reids, Allardyces and Keanes work better than your Graysons, Johnsons and Parkinsons. Back in the premier league within 4 years.
Chris Coleman was a fairly big character.

That interview with Neville shares a good insight into how he’s mellowed a bit.
Talking about not recognising success when he was with us and wanting to reach unrealistic places in such a short period.
It’s good to hear him talk like that, and shows he’s gained that experience.

It blows my mind that people would prefer someone like Grant McCann or Rob Edwards, to Roy Maurice Keane.

There's a good chance it could end up like Keegan's second spell up Newcastle. Nostalgia gets in the way but reality quickly kicks in and it goes flat pretty quick.

The clamour is that great now that if he wants it I can't see how the owner cant give him it.
Tail wagging the dog?

Aye I re watched it last night when all this kicked off, seems like he's a bit more measured than his first time around, my biggest reservation is how he would work in the current system, he comes across very much wanting to be in charge of everything and that would include transfer's, if they can sort that out it's the best appointment available to us imo.

Actually you bit, that makes you the one needing help in my book
Is your book about constant drivel too? He just never stops, a very strange poster to put it mildly.

He says Keane “needs to know what he’s doing”. FFS man! Someone who has been involved at the ultra elite level of the game and who took us from bottom of the championship to promotion in one fell swoop…
