I don't either tbh. Been there, done that and it didn't end particularly well. Great memories of his time here but it was a long time ago and he's done nothing since to suggest he's adapted accordingly. I doubt he's capable of it tbh which is one of the many reasons I love the fella. But no thanks.

Edit: I'll be completely on board after about 2 seconds of his arrival mind.

Love Keane. But he would be all wrong. I don't see him being able to work within the set up. He'd need to take orders from Speakman, take the players which were recruited for him, and turn up in Sunderland to take training. These are all things which would make him angry.

It isn't going to work.

ā€œHere comes the hot-stepperā€ & ā€œHey Judeā€ that’s the songs and party atmosphere sorted for the rest of the season!

Definitely reopening the Prem Concourse with these two back in town!!

Ha’way KLD make it happen šŸ˜Ž
My Spotify wrapped up end of the year is gonna look a right state at this point

What a cabbage, the guy is right, I can't understand why many on here exercise their hands on wanting Keane back, he was about to take us down, did bollox at Ipswich and there's a reason nobody has took a punt on him except as an assistant since, yes he got us up by some fluke and he talks a great game as did LJ but talk doesn't get us promoted. If he's appointed I will get behind him and the team, but I really believe folk here will be calling for his head by end of season or early next should we get promoted.

Because he reminds us of a time when we didn't have faceless lower league no-hopers walking through the door every 15 months. If we had genuinely exciting alternatives, I'd see why he might be a risky nostalgia pick.

Since the actual alternatives appear to be dour unemployed puddings off the merry-go-round, I say load up the Fratellis, stick Tony Soprano on the telly and get that time machine set for 2006.

We used to laugh at the mags over their Keegan and Shearer obsession. We are going the same over Keane and Defoe. We just lost 6-0 and it’s seems forgotten over a couple of big names.

I like Defoe but can’t stand Keane. Some of the things he’s said and done over the years are appalling. We will become Ireland reserves again and that won’t get us where we want to be.
He was great is his first season getting us promoted, I like him just not 100% sure what he will be like this time round as he hasn't managed in years

You're clearly a mag.

It doesn’t matter which manager they choose there will be people who don’t want him. But with Parkinson and Johnson most people never wanted them. The poll and threads on here shows that plenty of people do want Keane
