We used to laugh at the mags over their Keegan and Shearer obsession. We are going the same over Keane and Defoe. We just lost 6-0 and it’s seems forgotten over a couple of big names.

I like Defoe but can’t stand Keane. Some of the things he’s said and done over the years are appalling. We will become Ireland reserves again and that won’t get us where we want to be.
The transfer windows closed mate and it's very likely to be a short term appointment until the end of the season so put your Gaelic paranoia to one side

It's not I don't want him, it's just that I don't think he's got the temperament to work alongside a DOF.
I can imagine blazing rows and it not lasting long.

He had a great spell galvanised the club then tailed off and left in a huff. His managerial career since has been unimpressive. He won't have a transfer window. If he comes I will support him, I suspect he likes being on the telly more than he fancies managing in League One. We'll see.

I disagree.

He didn't do well at Ipswich.

He did the right thing by taking assistant roles to more experienced people. I think he also did some training with the All Blacks after us too.

There is a very good chance you will be right but i just think he is what we need right now .

Has the Doncaster game been officially entitled ‘Jermaine Defoe Day’ yet? This is a game we need to win so I hope supporters show patience throughout the game and don’t put our temporary management team under pressure to bring Jermaine on ( I cannot see him being fit enough to start ) even if we’re playing well and winning by 1 or 2 goals.
Patience lads and lasses.
