Some of us had the foresight to get a tenner on at those odds.

Ha'way Keano, pay for next year's season ticket......
I tried to login to put a 5er on... Shut my account with them ages ago apparently... I must have been concerned at the amount of sites I had an account with 😂🙈 or just the fact I couldn't buy a win at that point

Ask Berb if Keanos coming home.

Fwiw...there's nobody out there literally..who would or could push over the line to promotion with the Defoe signing and the Wee Philly movement like Keano. Short term, promotion based contract. Just do it.

Not for me like. Great memories of his time here but he's proved he's not a good manager towards the end of his time here and beyond. Theres only so many times you can kick through the tactics board and get a response. Modern footballers just wont give him the same response that the likes of Whitehead, Kavanagh, Miller (RIP) etc would have done.

Would absolutely love this to be true.

The most enjoyable time as a Sunderland fan in my life was with Keane as manager.

Was obviously alive under the Reid era but too young to have properly taken it all in.

7th under Bruce was unreal but nothing compares to the time under Keane, for me.
10th under Bruce

The difference between Keane and Johnson would be stark.

Keane would consider every one of the 17 games as must win, there would be bumps along the way but there would be a level of focus not seen at this club for several seasons.

Doubts about how he would fit into the current structure are valid but that wouldn't really be an issue until the summer.

Sensible by the club to appoint him after the window closes so he can’t bring in the likes of Prica and O’Donavan 😂

TBF, If we can supply him with good players for the level we are at I can see it working.

If that's the case (that you can't do it too often), make it a short term appointment to get us over the line... Then hire a manager with the long term in mind, in the summer.

As we should have done in the PL a few times. (PDC/Advoacaat)
