Fair play but I just can’t see us agreeing his terms. He would won’t come on a short term deal, so what £1m+ a season for 2-3 years?
He’s won the championship before and he’s has coaching experience since he was our Manager let’s not forget when he left we were a premer league club. His task this time around is quite different it’s to get the best of our players who are young mostly. This man took this club from bottom of the championship to win the title In his first season then, Kept us up a season later. This time around he could possibly take us up two divisions and Keep us up in the prem.

The bigger problem is how much he'd want to spend. It was under Keane that the debt started to spiral. Would he cope with the majority of signings being young players with potential, but not the finished article?

I think he would be more realistic now.
Hes not daft, he knows where we are and the financial constraints in place.
Also, he's not the big draw he was, it would be pretty much last chance for him as a manager here, he would have to make allowances.
It's a different club to the one he came into with Irish backers giving in to his every demand.

Would Keane drop to league 1 realistically? I know he said he wanted to get back in management and considers dropping to championship but no mention of league 1.
He is interested.

Could you imagine Saturday with him in the dugout and Defoe involved in the squad? 40,000 no bother.

The momentum would take us up and we’ve got a good squad for this division.

Openly said on that interview with Neville that he'd be up for a champ or top of league 1 job.

Unless he was a thicko he'd have to accept being on a pittance compared to Sky.

Can't expect a multi year flashy contract at a league one club battling to get up.

I think I posted this earlier mate but Neville is on £1.5m a season with Sky and I suspect Keane won’t be far behind. Even if Keane was desperate to get back into football I can’t see him walking away from Sky (and ITV) without a very good package.

Frankly, you’d have to be mad to walk away from a very easy job paying a £1m+ and come to manage us if we are only going to offer say £500k a year (wasn’t LJ on c300k?)

Plus unlike before, he’d be working under very different circumstances.

Must admit, given the likely demands of Keane, you’d probably get BSA on a short term deal and I’m pretty sure he’d get us promoted

I went to every game under Keane in his three years here, so I’m well aware of his achievements thanks 😂

Personally if we were going to spend the sort of cash Keane would want, I’d go for BSA. But hey….
