I probably sound like a broken record but the reason the current model hasn’t worked so far, is that because they appointed LJ as head coach, principally on his coaching ability. Unfortunately it overlooked that since head coach is the face of the club, they need significant leadership and motivational skills, which I don’t think LJ had. However, we have to appoint a head coach with those skills, a presence and an aura. We are technically and tactically a good side, and a good coaching team can carry that on, but we need an HC who can give us confidence, self belief and mental resilience.

plus everyone is making a wild assumption that Keane wouldn’t work in our current model, but there’s no evidence that he wouldn’t

roy keane does not have leadership skills..he alienated experienced players at ireland and ipswich.

as he is a contracted employee of sky..he might be available for a while..
but if he is available-he isnt in a position to be choosy.
It worked fine for Gary Neville he was Sky’s main man and it didn’t work out at Valencia and he went back to Sky, I’m sure if he was offered it he’d take it

keane himself said if he signed his new sky contract that was probably it for him as a manager
