Dan Burn
Chris Wood
Matt Targett

If these had signed under Ashley/Bruce

Got a feeling that Brazilian lad will flop, how many South Americans CMs have shone in the PL ? Big step up from Ligue 1 to the PL like a few have found out in recent seasons Pepe and Ndombele

After all of the hype and bravado, the scum must be devastated with their business since the murderers took over.

The funny thing is, they’ll be trying to convince themselves that they’re happy
The line is that they will be a far more attractive proposition in the summer, and can replace the likes of Burn and Wood then.

True to an extent IF they stay up, but they'll still be pitching to players from a position of not playing in Europe (probably for at least 2 seasons), playing for Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall, and having to live in Newcastle. It's still not going to be superstars coming in, and clubs are still going to rinse them for every penny now they've established 40M for Wood and Burn as the going rate.

They won't be devastated though mate.

They'll be delighted that they've spend 100 million plus. Albeit on shite.

Imagine if Bruce made them signings under Ashley.....

Every horse on Tynside would be banjoed and their city centre would be pulled to bits (again).

Interesting comparison to show the ridiculous inflation in football.

The mags have just paid £40m for a midfielder from the French league, with only 58 career games in European football.

It's only five years ago that Chelsea paid £32m for Premier League champion N'Golo Kante.

So they've signed a right back who is canny but was desperate to come back to England, a centre forward who has the same agent as the right back so tipped them off about an over inflated buy out. A left back from the team that signed the player they really wanted a lad who's local so gets them and Fred's understudy?
Sounds canny :D

Honest assessment

Trippier great value
Targett good player ...nothing to lose on loan
Burn...not good enough ...championship player
Wood ....distinctly average prem player ...£25 million is shocking
Brazilian lad ...can't comment ......

But Newcastle are still deep in the shit if those are the only signings

This is going to be their problem, they won’t be able to shift players they will sit on big wages at Newcastle

Therein lies the problem if you bring too many in too quickly.
Others lose out (of the squad in this case) -have mates still around who dont get a game but are still in the squad and if not careful a bad atmosphere develops ..it’s a gamble

Watford have signed 6 players and have actually got a goal scorer in Dennis - they’ve also got an experienced manager in to try and get him firing again.

Burnley have already got a manager who has done this before, and have upgraded their centre forward thanks to the mags.

Norwich haven’t done anything, but have just won two games in a row.

Everton have got a new manager in and have signed two new players to go in midfield. Probably more important that Calvert Lewin is back fit, has played a couple of games, and can partner Richarlison again.

The mags struggle to score goals or create, and their new signings have half a dozen goals between them all season. I honestly don’t think they’ll have done enough. Really don’t understand the euphoria of some of them, anyway.

You don’t think that football clubs are threatened by other clubs with access to more funding than they have?
Your shower of shit haven't a pot to piss in. Live with it.
Yes, via PIF, NUFC have access to more potential investment than any other club in world football, surprised you didn’t hear about that?

Right now I think players would rather play for Man U.
Stupid get
