Viva John Terry

Derby hiring Lampard and then Rooney worked well
Rangers giving Gerrard his first managerial job worked well

Better than going for the usual out of work plodders we have done for years

I agree with that apart from Lampard. It worked out well for Lampard as he somehow blagged the Chelsea job off the back of it but to not go up to the Premiership with the players he had there was poor imo.

He had Mason Mount, Tomori and Harry Wilson in his team man.

Absolute wanker but would take him in a heartbeat as he’s be our wanker, the same wanker that knows elite football, knows the expectations of standards at big clubs, has won everything at club level and will be desperate to prove himself at a sleeping giant of a club!
I remember people saying the same about Keane and Defoe. Now they’re treat like some sort of football Demi gods here.

He was a shit defender at international level. Headed the ball while it was on the ground. Got the runaround by the kids of Germany who sussed that he was the weakest link in England's defence.
Inconvenient truth.

He was absolutely shocking when he didn’t have world class defensive players next to him in every position. Painfully overrated player.

I would stop going if he was in charge. Can’t stand the bloke.

Didn’t know that but can only judge someone on face value and he seems a nice bloke.
No you can’t only judge someone on face value. That’s a ridiculous statement.

As I’ve mentioned on here dozens of times: If Woodgate and King weren’t almost permanently injured Terry wadve occupied the Upson role in the England squad.

Can't stand him as a bloke but he could potentially do a job. He has a point to prove and was one of the greatest British defenders ever so could defs help cut down the ridiculous errors at the back costing us consistently.

You’re bang on with this mind and I’ve said the same myself for years. That’s assuming that talent not politics gets you in the team, but King and Woodgate were superior defenders to Terry and to a lesser degree Ferdinand imo.

He said one thing to Anton after being absolutely wound up, now I'm not saying that's an excuse but anton was saying vile if not more vile things to Terry.
He shagged his best mates ex bird, bridge had already finished with her , although they had a kid together, bridge was no longer going out with her. Bit too close to home fir mu liking.
The cash stuff for training ground I don't know much about, but all 3 are hardly crimes of the century are they.
I don't thunk Terry is racist, maybe you do?
I just don't think he's all that bad, at the time the British media treated him very badly, bullied the bloke, they'd get people jumping on the bandwagon saying they cannot stand the man,it's happened for years with lots of people.
I'd be delighted if he got the job,no doubt the ones who believe the tabloids will be taking the moral highground.
What about him being sent off V Spurs by Poll for saying something to King? Drogba just stood and stared at Terry never making a single effort towards getting Poll to change his mind. Cole didn’t either. FA, Poll, PL, Chelsea and Spurs shamefully hushed it up. Poll went out of his way to help to aid his own career.
It doesn’t take an Einstein.

Give your head a shake here, not because of the King and Woodgate were better than Terry craic, I like that bit. Especially King - class player.

But better than Ferdinand?! No, no, no, no. Fergie paid £30m for him because he was easily the defender of that generation - should probably have won the Ballon D'or when United rear-guarded their way to the Euro/league double in 2008. They gave it to Ronaldo, because attackers always have the best PR. He had it all.

As for Terry, I actually can't believe there are people on this thread defending the character of someone who is currently running a disgraceful, probably illegal under IP rules, pyramid scheme and got suspended by England for racist abuse of a player who was an ex-pro for this club and generally gave his all playing for us.

f***ing hell.
I know it's not Terry's fault. Pickford kicked it out and it was embarrassing
We should have agreed to it, said, you kick it out and then half-way through launched a f***ing rapid counter-attack.

Then unveiled a banner of Anton Ferdinand.
How could anyone respect John Terry? He is a vile racist.
Cant believe how many people would be happy with him being at our club, I’d be absolutely gutted. Can’t stand him.
To one of our ex-players, lest we forget.
