You can't seriously exempt Johnson from blame, why have a manager then? Who motivates the team, who makes the in-game changes. HT alarm bells were deafening - he did NOTHING. Yes the players have collapsed in this one, but the selection, formation and approach that failed and remained unchanged for way too long - that's 100% in the managers hands. If the players don't perform it is the managers responsibility over time to solve it. But these games keep happening. Absolving him of all blame is utter ridiculous.
Go anywhere in the world of work and you will find a certain type of manager, who hates anyone with charisma/character and surrounds themselves with sycophants and yes men I concluded this a year ago and have not changed my opinion.

Can't remember playing with 2 at the back in any of our good runs as you say.

Gooch , Neil , Doyle all bang out of form for weeks and he continues to play them.

Signs a RB but continues to play Winchester there.

The blokes clueless man

We played a back four August-October when we were flying. With Winchester RB.

We played a back four November-December when we were flying. With Wright RB.

I’m actually of the opinion we should play three, as I would prefer us to look more solid. I’m just pointing out that it’s wrong to say that we’ve been shot playing with a back four. Our best runs of results have been playing a back four.

I wasn't particularly Johnson in or out before today but you cannot let a performance like that go unpunished. Send a clear message now and sack him tonight. Totally totally unforgivable result
I wasn’t particularly against him as when we have won games we have done it with a flare I haven’t seen for a while going forward
However we are Sunderland and should have standards
And that was not expectable (add our other drubbings to today’s and he’s has to go !)

Exactly. For a club relying on data how can you ignore this, and Rotherham, and Sheff Wed, and Lincoln
The powers that be, at this club, really ought to amend their transfer policy.
It clearly isn't working, and the fans are rapidly running out of patience, with paying hard earned money, to watch absolute horror shows, like the one today.

So have our worst ones

That was utterly embarrassing and it’s not the first, second or third time this season.

If he can’t learn from his mistakes, and he’s proving he can’t/won’t, we should look elsewhere.

I’ve said you can’t sack a manager who has you up the top in amongst the promotion chasers but I think it’s becoming clear the problems will persist and we won’t go up if he’s allowed to continue.

5-1, 4-0, 3-0 and 6-0 are unacceptable results at this level for a club like SAFC. I was prepared to take into account injuries and youth/inexperience and put it down as a bad spell but he’s lost me with that today.

Aside from the very best teams in the country, every single club has good run, bad run, throughout a season. It’s what football is.
Check out his last 4 seasons - gets into good positions then slides down. That's the facts. Manager's who get teams promoted don't do this every year. If you believe in looking at past data he will do it this year and next year and onwards. Serious question. Do you not have any doubts that Lee Johnson is the right man to get us promoted. Ignore the players for a moment. Do you have any doubts or concerns about Lee Johnson's ability to achieve this years target?

Johnson signed Winchester. Not sure what defence you have. He needs sacking
There's Danny Collins reviewing the goals and he just pointed out the obvious about Winchester not getting goalside for the 2nd. That's exactly what I said, as I simply said the 2 goals were players mistakes, though Hoffman probably thought ball was coming to him for the 1st. Collins didn't then go on about Johnson after the 2nd so go whinge about Johnson somewhere else 😂
