*~*~* Bolton v Sunderland match thread *~*~*

I'm talking about the way you go on. You actually went back to a thread from last week and counted the number of mentions that Gooch got. How can you be so bothered that other people might like someone you don't? It really is quite strange. But fair enough lets just concentrate on the match and accept we all have different opinions.
You mentioned the thread, you brought up the thread and I stated how you had twisted it to suit.

In his pre-match conference, LJ mentioned that Bolton's possession figures might give us a chance to exploit their style with our pressing game. Telling Gooch and Dajaku to run their arses off because they will be replaced during the second half might be part of that game-plan.
This is starting to look like a good side.
There’s a lad that knows his football. Clear as day that that’s the plan.

Shout out for one of the best Mams I know. It's @addicted_to_safc's birthday today. For those who don't know, she puts in one hell of a shift every day caring for her disabled daughter, as well as looking after her other children. If anyone deserves three points on her birthday, then it's her! Haway the lads.
Well said. I didn't know any of that, but it doesn't surprise me. She seems a great person.

So people haven't seen Roberts play now? Luckily the direction we are travelling players as limited as Gooch will feature less and less for us. Nothing against him he's a decent enough player for this level, but we don't want to be at this level. Injuries have ensured he's had plenty games this season.
Some people will have seen him obviously, but I doubt many have seen him regularly (I certainly haven't seen him much since he was at Celtic, which is a good while ago now).

I hope Roberts is as good as a player as he is touted, obviously he will be a nailed-on starter if that is the case. But he was never going to start today, he wasn't fit enough to make the bench last week, he's struggled with injuries all season and has barely played. Get 20 minutes into him today and hopefully he impresses.

Gooch is a solid player and presumably will continue to get plenty of gametime due to his versatility; but he was always starting today. It's not a surprise.

Like the fact Gooch is playing forward . Could be his day today.. ha-way LG . Nice pitch too makes SOL look like a Farmers field

Strong team and bench, we really should be looking for top spot on paper imo. Haway lads, lets get on a massive winning run and storm the league.

Bloody hell, strong bench, still got Mcgeady, O'Nien, Huggins and hopefully Broadhead to return too, get another striker and we're shaping up nicely for the remainder of the season.

Excellent to think that Gooch, Embleton and Dajaku all now know that they need to perform; otherwise they’ll get the hook and might not be seen again for weeks.
