Also Lyon are 11th in the farmers' league, so he's obviously been doing class this season.

(I don't know one way or the other if he's any good btw as I've never knowingly seen him play. If they're lucky he'll be as good as Cabaye, who they sadly never signed because they had an umambitious owner who didn't bid for highly rated players).

Looking at his ratings for Lyon this season he's probably their best player unfortunately. Ive never actually watched any Lyon games mind

It does appear they’ve all but pretty much signed him now. It’s lifting that Man City fans are latching onto them saying they are both going to dominate the premier league and Man U are scared.

They did get some great deals under Ashley. Demba Ba, Debuchy, Cissoko, Shelvey, Cabaye, Wijnaldum, wasnt Almiron supposed to be the next best thing? Maximum, Coloccini. It’s never been about that though. It’s just about blowing money and having the biggest dick.

This. The team that got Rafagated had Wijnaldum & Sissoko in it, one of whom won the PL & CL with his next club, and the other played in a Euro 2016 final and went for 35M that summer.

The only difference is they're chucking stupid money about to sign similar players this time rather than letting scouting and contacts do the heavy lifting. God knows I'm not going to lose any sleep over this fella I've never seen play, who might be as good as Wijnaldum, or could turn out to be another Xhaka or Fred.

Would agree with this too, to them
its all about how much they spend. But, on the Trippier / Guimaeres deals, they are two good signings, especially for the position they are in.

Absolutely spot on. They forget about the time Ashley signed all the unknown French internationals and they were so happy they had a French day when all the wankers were walking round with berets and half and half strips on

14 years of neglect though, and they wonder why they are a complete laughing stock.
