Maybe someone got the wrong end of the stick,? maybe he’s had a change of heart? I don’t think he’d string people along if the deal is off, just causing more problems in the long run that so I believe we are working on it.

I understand how Johnson's press conference the other day could have been interpreted as him not being keen on Defoe, but this professional journalist claimed an 'exclusive' and portrayed the article as fact, rather than what it clearly was; his opinion.

Good for Johnson, doesnt mean journo wasnt told that, he is a good journalist him anyway.

His article has literally been called out as false by Johnson the day after it was published. It's pretty embarrasing for Wilson surely? It was a guess. He was wrong.
 
There’s a 55yo Japanese player that’s just signed a new pro contract. Yes he’s dropped down to the Japanese 4th Division but think we can extrapolate that Defoe has 16 years left yet.
