Fair point. Was always worried about being labelled a bedwetter despite having a quiet worry that we aren’t bringing anyone in currently. We have been here before after all. Think it’s absolutely vital we get some fresh blood into the team.

I'm very worried. But I also know it doesn't help spreading negativity. We need a centre half a central midfielder and another forward. Or I cannot see us going up.

I'm old enough to remember when it was bedwetting to warn we'd be relegated from the premier league unless we changed course.

The transfer window was more exciting when we were in the Premier League.

But then everything was more exciting .

So with regards to the last part of my post, would it not be to our advantage to speculate to accumulate in the transfer market. Otherwise it looks like Wigan will definitely be taking a top 2 spot. We have a 2BN owner. Is Donald and Methven preventing this from happening ? It just doesn't make sense to lose out on 9m sky money next season, for the sake of some transfer investment.
 
Quite like him as an owner, understand and support all the changes he has made at the club so far, all very positive. I’m glad he is running us. But fuck me he needs to stick his hand in his pocket soon.
 
There may be loads going on that he is doing that is great for the club that we as fans do not see.

The main thing we want to see is promotion.
 
Have to admit that I'd hoped for a few key signings by now. Not getting into stress mode just yet but it's obvious we need to strengthen and we're so bloody close to having a team that can finish in the top two, but right now it's borderline play-offs/automatic promotion...

Management might think its gone well as signed Trai and recalled two loans.... But over half way through Jan and mainly rumours still... Pretty disappointing and if Defoe was likely to sign surely it would have happened by now.... Thought we would have splashed some cash
