He is great cricketer truly world class, he is one of the few who has the capability to move successfully and adapt his game to all 3 formats, which to me is sign of a great player.
Obviously gone of the boil last couple of years, but for me for a 4/5 year period taken account all forms of the game was the best player in the world!

I might be wrong but I think Kohli was captain for the test match they lost and were bowled out for 36 and then Rahane was captain for the test matches that they won.

You are correct, he did lead them to a series win there a couple years prior though albeit that was an Australian side without Smith or Warner
