Is that 2 adults and 2 kids?Just been quoted £8100 for 14 nights hotel, 14 day Disney pass, 4 day universal pass, flights from Glasgow, transfers etc.
How does that sound?
It was a fairly average looking hotel Rosen Inn. 2 adults 2 kids in August. Is that 2 adults and 2 kids?
Depends which hotel and what dates.
Just had a quick check and it's August flight prices that will be killing you.It was a fairly average looking hotel Rosen Inn. 2 adults 2 kids in August.
We are bound by the kids holidays unfortunately.Seems a bit steep for Rosen but that could well be the fact it's August.
Can you not go a bit later? Weather more bearable in September and flights should be cheaper.
More like 2k for car hire at the moment it's through the roofTrue, dries quickly tho!
In august about £1500ish pp as a package with the likes of virgin. Then £400ish for Disney tickets. Then more if you want universal as well (another couple of ton)
£400ish for a car.

It’s been that way for the last year, I don’t know how you got the price you did. That’s what I’m asking, has it just changed and for school hols?
Just checked my booking and was £370 for large group W with budget. For 10 days. That’s on airport pickup/drop off too.
Assuming the daft prices are cos of it being august and school hols?
I'm going 30th September as well with the lads on golf trip so we needed car hire. That’s what I’m asking, has it just changed and for school hols?

We're going in June and paid £800 for a 7 seater with Tui. £370 sounds great at the minuteThat’s what I’m asking, has it just changed and for school hols?

I’m going end of April/early May and we are getting quoted about £1400 for 12 days. We have decided not to bother and just use Uber/Lyft.
it’s because all the hire companies sold off their cars during the early lockdown, and now they can’t get enough due to the global shortage of microchips.

Usual places were coming back at about £1200 for a 7 seater.
Eventually managed to get a deal through British based company called Discount Florida Car Hire for £400.
Only way to get it so cheap was to not pick up the car from airport but get it next day from Kissimmee. Actually works out better for us that way so we can have a drink on the way there.

Hot in august mind, so take that into account!
Orlando is mint like.
If you're near enough to the park, get there early, come back for lunch and a snooze, then go back. The car park is priced per day, and no kid is going to last all day on their feet in 28c and 90percent humidity. (Not many adults neither)
Went for 17 days last time, 5 days the backend of October into November.Done that once... won't be doing it again will stick to October plus get the Halloween horror nights
Aye thats why prefer October.
It was crazy when I went in the summer.. you had those booths that put money in and cooled you down but they must made you worse as soon as you left dripping with sweat again.

Got Halloween and Christmas.
Weather was perfect and wasn't too busy, although it was starting to pick into November.
The Christmas decorations were even better than Halloween.Sounds class that mate I've even there on Halloween before but we went home the next day think it was.
Aye. Just don't expect to do every park. Not that you need to really. If you go to the two universal parks, that's two days. Probably MGM (or might be called Hollywood studios now) and magic Kingdom for another two. Maybe a day at a water park. Then there'll be one of the parks you liked that much you want to go back. Don't plan on doing 3 days of parks in a row unless you can all walk 5 miles a day in heat with no bother.October could be an option but would only be able to do 10 days, would that be enough time?
The log flumes were good for mid day. Had dried off by the time we got on the next ride.Done that once... won't be doing it again will stick to October plus get the Halloween horror nights
