If sacking the manager meant an improvement every time, Newcastle would not be in the relegation zone and Sunderland would be champions of Europe.

Managers get too much credit and too much blame. When it goes well, they take plaudits, when I goes badly, there is a call to sack them.

They also bring too much expectation. A new manager is expected to improve things. But how often does that work. As said, we'd be champions of Europe if every manager we have hired had improved us! The most successful managers are given time. Fergus... Wenger.... err Dario Gradi ;)

Truth is at kick off there's not much they can do. managers don't score goals. They don't make last minute tackles, get red cards, fall offside or score penalties. Yes they can make better substitutions but they can't make St.Maximin pass.... Shelvey look pretty or Wilson not get injured

But when the shit hits the fan, it's always their fault.

Cracks showing. Howe says he wasn't in the dressing room when the owners went in and says "I believe" they were supportive. Would like to have been a fly on the wall as to what's really been said

If it's a cash thing I imagine the club can loan her the money now she's on the board.

Interestingly I read somewhere about her and her husband having a management contract with the club. Not really sure what that means?

I imagine it's something like PCP employ them and PCP invoices NUFC for their services?
