One change and it was fitness related.

I expected them to give some of the other players a punt considering the series is lost and the current team were dogshit in the last test.

Even if it is just deckchairs on the Titanic (maybe they should have hung onto Foakes, the openers and spinners from the Lions...?), you cannot pick a team that lost so miserably, it sends all the wrong messages.

If Kirsten gets the gig can’t see him anywhere near the side.

He has already said he wants more from his top order batsman than just surviving which would certainty rule him out purely on that basis.

Why is the number of ducks more relevant than batting average and game time?

I don't particularly rate him, but he's the best of a bad lot as our openers stand (moving Root to open, aside). Maybe if we hadn't sent Lees, Yates and Bracey home....
