Side for the 4th test (if it happens)

One change.

Broad in for Robinson.

Why play Hammed, he's having a shocker and has had mental health issues before? Give Lawrence a go, or at the very least bring Burnes back - as his final innings before he was dropped was alright and looked like he might finally be adjusting to Aus.

Also, classic England - change the bowlers when all series it has been the batting that is the problem. Is Broad going to make any difference at all, I very much doubt it. The very definition of rearranging the deckchairs.

To be fair to Hameed he’s probably got out playing a poor shot once. He’s had some excellent deliveries when you consider the lack of practice in build up and quality of attack faced. I’d bring Burns in for Crawley

He looks so hesitant with his shot selection though. If he was playing confidently but got out to some brilliant bowling then fair enough. But he doesn't know when to leave it at all. Yes, I appreciate i'm being harsh as he's going against Pat Cummings in the form of his life, but I'm just thinking about his mental health at this stage to be honest. What is another cheap wicket going to do for him really, amazing bowling or not.

I agree on Hameed, I’m not sure what good it does to continue to let him face Cummins and Starc with a new ball. Should have been taken out to protect him

Think they have "concerns" over Robinson's fitness. I assume that means he's been blowing out of his arse in the nets. Either that or just want to give Broad a last run out at the SCG

Batting is utter shit at Melbourne so we change one bowler.

Who picks the team? Silverwood or Root? Whoever it is is taking the piss.

I suspect anyone would struggle in this team, but the series is over FFS, give Lawrence and Overton a go, pick Woakes as a batsman, try Crawley in the middle order or something. Just try something new.

theres absolutely no justification for bringing back Burns in man

mate they changed 1 bowler because Robinson is knackeres and getting slower and slower

not sure what you were expecting like

I agree, at least Hameed is mainly "Got out" he hardly simply throws it away

I think the justification is the well known mental health struggles that Hammed has had in the past and the fact the Burnes in that final innings looked more competent and confident that Hameed ever has.

It’s just meant to rain all test anyway isn’t it? We’ll still find a way to lose
Only the 1st day, with scattered showers day 2 and 3
Just looked there, the draw is 1/2

Was fancying a bet on the series whitewash, couldn’t find any odds on bet365, but checked tonight’s odds and saw the Aussies are 21/10
They've gone out to 3.5 now, potential 3-4 days play with 2 under cloud cover against our batters, seems like plenty of time
