They could get 11 blokes out of hospital bed that have long Covid and still beat usThey could get 11 blokes off the street who have tested negative and still beat us.
I'm concerned about the WI mind. Only booked because I thought sport was just getting on with it as Brandon says.
Even Rory?BTW I remember pundits defending India saying England would be off in a flash
they had 3 cases, we have a lot more, and no talk of going home, only talk of drafting in big bash players
its debatable whether this tour should have gone ahead, England had no chance under the conditions they were given.
Problem is you just sound bitter saying it, even though I fully admit we would have got beat no matter what
I just dont think its fair that careers will be ended in the most ridiculous circumstances
Even Rory?![]()
Are you an epidemiologist now?Why is the Test in doubt? It’s one player FFS. Do lateral flows on the morning of the game and those who are negative play. It’s getting far too silly now - US Sports have shown the way forward with their easing of protocols. The science tells us the risk is minuscule and the variant isn’t as potent anyway.

Second top scorer though.had 6 ducks before the series, so not sure on that!
The American’s decisions were made by the CDC. Doctors, scientists, epidemiologists. Are you an epidemiologist now?
Omicron is just a small percentage of cases of Covid and, while it's thought to be more contagious and less severe than other strains, scientists are still accumulating evidence.
The Americans are anti-masker nutters with one of the worst Covid responses on the planet. I wouldn't follow their lead on Covid.

Bring them home. It's the right thing to do.
"Are you an epidemiologist" is in relation to your comments about how omicron isn't much of a public health risk. Could you really say that with any certainty at this time? The American’s decisions were made by the CDC. Doctors, scientists, epidemiologists.
Same question to you though - because perhaps you’re an epidemiologist? The way you’ve dismissed my post, which was simply me playing messenger in sharing what other sports are doing, must mean you know better than the people making the decisions for these multi-billion dollar sporting governing bodies……?
Read the articles, whilst many Americans might be anti-vax nutters the leagues themselves are very much the opposite. Several players have been banned and heavily fined for not getting jabbed and certainly the way they’ve dealt with positive cases and even ‘close contacts’ has been heavily weighted towards favouring those who have been vaccinated. They’ve also had a number of postponements and of total shutdowns for periods of time in order to arrest an upward curve in positive cases. Ultimately now they’ve decided a new path and it will be a decision they’ll have made off the back of a lot of expert advice.
As for the cricket, if players test negative on the morning of Day 1 then let them play. Cricket is one of the more socially distanced sports in existence. Could Test them morning and night and then bring in Covid replacements if needed.
India are shithouses, we are not.
