People on this board are so blinded by hatred they aren’t willing to accept the man could contribute anything at all, and they seem willing to allow their hatred to spill over into vitriol towards good posters like GoM (who only suggested that Salmon Pants may have a use to us still).

Like it or not everything GoM has said is true. The smarmy prick may have contacts that could be of use to us. He did go to private school, and he has been taught to be a smarmy prick and ‘work the room’.

Salmon pants may be a **** but there’s no need to be so hostile to GoM for suggesting that he could have a use to us despite being a ****. GoM didn’t suggest anything to the contrary; just that he could still be useful to us.

Basically, chill out it’s Christmas. Enjoy the good form and stop looking for things to scorn. 🍻

So he could do, he's been here a few year, but there's zero evidence he actually has.

He definitely worked the room at that RAWA meeting like, I'll give him that.

That’s not true, mind. Plenty of passive aggression towards him for having the temerity to suggest that smarmy, public school pricks are smarmy, public school pricks. There’s probably plenty on here who know the type and have seen exactly the phenomenon that he’s describing so it’s not like he’s said anything particularly contentious.

At the time Chelsea were only getting £20m from Samsung and they were competing in the Champions League. That one deal alone meant Miliband had more than paid for himself.

It doesn’t need to be people in football that listen to him. If he gets us a good sponsorship deal for example, or a good deal with the supplier of the half time pies, or even the transport for the players then he can be a worthwhile member of the club.

I didn’t even suggest that, I just accept that he could have a use to us. That’s the point some posters are missing; accepting he could be useful does not mean that we want him here, it’s just being pragmatic and not cutting off our noses to spite our face.

As for it being, “how things work in the real world” well I’d rather have less money in our FC than that dodgepot have anything to do with our FC.

Read post 247, maybe half a dozen times so it does sink in, and if your principled stance is bothering you, you could just view anything CM gets in as atonement for his previous sins, his bid for redemption.

He is a PR Guru with lots of contacts and that generally leads to one primary beneficiary - him.
If he owns 6% of your club he`ll sit there like an unwanted dinner party guest until the offer to sell is at the value he wants.
The bloke is a leech surviving on other people's work.

Normal people get things done, they don’t need to be a thrifty faced ****.

Despite the ‘wealth’ of contacts seemingly at his disposal, the club have not seen any of them and he has alienated just about everyone other than his loyal disciples.

He was a fraud when he arrived and nothing has changed. If he told me it was raining, I would go outside and check.
