Joe Root v Mohammad

I am Boss

Winger
At this stage it's about the only exciting part of the series left.

182 more runs to equal Yousuf's record of most runs in a calendar year. 3 innings remaining.

Will he do it?

If India didn't do a runner for the 5th test he'd probably be double figures away

Think it'll be close.
Edit - not sure why I've missed Yousuf from the title. Mods?

I think he'll get a big score before the series is out. Hopefully before the year ends so he gets this record but either way he has been phenomenal all year.

160 give or take. Basically he's going to need to get his first century in Australia. Can't see him having two 80+ innings

And he had Gary Ballance as a regular room mate

no this is anothet thing you;ve got wrong

He was room mates with Ballance when they were teenagers

the complaints about Ballance are a decade later. When Root had been away from Yorkshire for years and years

This proves my point exactly. You've ended up just believing everything as nobody had their chance to reply

its really poor, people on both sides have been really poor just trying to score points, nobody being objective.

Another thing? It wasn't me that said with absolute certainty that Rory Burns had never ever averaged 35 for England ;)

Ive had plenty to say on the Root / Rafiq situation but in all honesty I regretted responding to your last comment on the matter and I definitely don't want to go down the heated discussions we all had a couple of months ago. It was horrendous.

Rafiq went through all this to 'score points'?

Moxon, Gale and Arthur were invited to testify to the parliamentary committee, and defend the dressing room culture on their watch, but declined. No use complaining about the hearing being one sided when one side decided not to turn up.

Gary Ballance is/was one of Joe Root's best mates in cricket and the accusations are contemporary with when they both played for Yorkshire and England. The laws of probability state he must have been aware of the nature of some of Gary's 'banter'. He was also a young player at Yorkshire when Bresnan and Hoggard - by their own admission - were using racial slurs in the dressing room. In this context it's understandable people find his "I didn't see anything racist" crack difficult to accept.
