An honest Mag, who'd a thunk it? TBF, he's spot on.

Felt like that plenty of times supporting us. Part of being a supporter I'm afraid. Rough with smooth.
You cannot say that about St Maximum man !!! Even Sky love him
He tries to make things happen and is always positive, but perhaps the reason he isn't at a higher club is because he doesn't know when to release the ball.
How many times does he caught in possession. Yday was a prime example.
If he gets injured and is out for any length of time mind, they are fkd .

With Watford v Burnley next they’re going to be a minimum of 4 points adrift, possibly 6 going into that Liverpool game.

Norwich also have Villa at home midweek. A decent chance of a point, maybe 3.

Mags could easily be bottom going into the Man U & Man C games. They’re either going to have start beating some of the top teams, or teams in/around them away from home. They don’t have many games left where they’ll be favourite for the win. They’ve just used 3 of them with only 1 win. It’s a big ask

Feckin hell man, wudnt like to be in the trenches with you :lol:

Fwiw, I would be pleased to see you go down ( doesn't matter anywhere near as much now I'm 60), and see the more unpleasant element of your support, crying in their beer but, take it from me, you will not go down

Despite a terrible first 15 games, you have incredibly not been cut adrift - unbelievable really.

Norwich are goners.

Burnley will go this season esp with Cornet out.

And the third one will be from youse, Soton, Watford, Leeds and maybe even Everton who are only 8 points ahead.

Once 2021 is out of the way, and even if you only have 12/13/14 points by the start of 2022, imho, you will pick up enough points at home to get to the 35/36 required.

The January window is a tough one, but Allardyce cracked it with us in 2016, so it's not impossible.

I don't think for one minute that the likes of Lingard will sign when they have better placed options, but Howe will get 2/3 in where it matters, and add that to the likes of Wilson and ASM, and you have every chance of finishing above Soton and Watford.
This.
decent chance they'll still go down but it's more than likely they'll improve the squad over January.
I get us all laughing about top names but they don't need that they just need to be a little bit better for now and it's likely two of three decent players will make a difference sadly

Someone else out of Southampton, Leeds, maybe Brentford could drop into it but none of them stand out as being obvious candidates at the moment.
Brentford and Leeds play to win but if Southampton don't pick up points against Palace away Wed and Brentfotd Saturday they will be in trouble. There's normally 1 team that drops into the relegation battle and I think it will be them and they play the Mags at home Jan 2nd and it could be a relegation place game.

Click on Premier League here and look at their 3 wins since May. Their 3 wins this season against Leeds, Villa at home and Watford away were all just 1-0. In fact they've only won 6 of their last 28 as their other 3 wins were against Palace, Fulham and Burnley last season and they were all home. Click away and you'll see how bad they are! It's only because there's 3 poor teams at the moment as they've picked up 8 points from their last 19 away games.

I can't believe they are still 9-1 ( ) to get relegated as surely worth a tenner?

Heard 3 Saudi lads going on trial there, the deal is they must singe at least one and he must be given a game in the premier.
This must happen before the billions are released.

I honestly think they'll save the skunks from being relegated. Their manager is on borrowed time. As you pointed out the Saints record this year has been abysmal and I'm surprised he's lasted to this point . They'll lose the next two and he's gone

I’ve yet to meet/hear from any mag who’s spoken/demonstrated against this vile owner the way they did over Ashley. The prospect of buying success and being back in the media frenzy is all they crave. This utter shit of ‘we just want a team that tries’ doesn’t wash with anyone.
Nothing less than being in the same bracket as Man City Chelsea and Liverpool will suffice. Mags regard clubs like Leicester, Everton, Villa as inferior to them.
MP’s have ditched any morals they claim to have, the LBGT of Newcastle have withdrawn from their national organisation all to ‘support’ the new ownership for one reason ! Utter greed and the chant of richest club in the world sums up what your fans are interested in 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
Nail on the head 👍

Under Big Sam, we had 12 points going in to 2016 following a home defeat to Liverpool in last match of 2015 !!

Lots to consider:

The gap was only, 2 to 17th and GD margin was only -4.

Mags are 3 points and GD margin is -7.

Top 6 is also stronger now. In 2022-22 the top 6 have 44% of points whereas in 2015-16 it was just 41.

But, but, but "no team has ever had the financial power Newcastle will have in the January window".

He's not that honest. he was caught out sliding into young (but leagal) lasses DM's when he's married with kids. Even tried denying it saying the lass was making it up until she and a couple of others posted the screenshots

For those who think Newcastle can still stay up, they are they are the only team in the league who have yet to play either Liverpool or Man City home or away. They have played 4 of the other 5 teams in the bottom 6 at home already and have still to play 4 of them away.

They also still have to go to West Ham, Spurs and Chelsea.

18% of their remaining fixtures are against either Liverpool or Man City.

Too many winnable home games sadly.

They won't pick many up away even if they strengthen in January, but in 2022, they've got Watford, Everton, AV, Brighton, CP, Wolves, Leicester and Arsenal all at skunk park.
