Andy Brassell mentioned this on the Ramble (I think he moved to Newcastle recently?), that as bad as the table looks people have underestimated how much the mood has changed/the fans have got behind Howe. Which is why he wasnt writing Newcastle off.

I think you can see that now, the fans behind the manager and team at the match.

You lot have a lot of faith in your new owners without a shred of evidence to support the faith or optimism.

- 8th choice manager who has a worse win rate than SB in the prem;
- haggling over 200k for backroom staff;
- kept SB on for 1000th game when 3 points were at stake;
- promised GJ a role without a new manager;
- players unfit....when GJ was coach;
- no DoF and turned down by an unemployed Emelano;
- recruitment undertaker taken by the PE teacher Steve Nickson and McPartland

It will turn to shit and the whole world knows it.

They beat Burnley, a side who are in the relegation zone. They won because Pope made a stupid decision and got lucky with a disallowed goal.

One win in 15 games is not something to be proud of.
