Fan at the end with johnson

Maybe we should start a Just Giving campaign so the caller can buy a comfort blanket, tissues and tampons. 'The club know where I sit' and'There was hundreds of fans waiting outside' etc. He'll be expecting a chauffeur driven limo next because he's obviously such a special fan.

Club & management have had it far too easy over recent seasons, a bit of stick is to be expected, the inability to take it is a good indicator of the level of the current incumbent, he is unconvincing. He needs to be interviewed properly, not by the in house media, about his philosophy for football as evidently on the pitch it is patchy & poor.

Didn't stick 2 fingers up from the footage I've seen, plus the fan gives some abuse and can't take it back.

I can absolutely assure you that Johnson flicked the Vs after the bloke initially shouted something that wasn’t particularly abusive. Johnson then walked into the middle of the pitch to shake hands, the bloke was infuriated because of Johnson’s response and marched down to the side of the tunnel to remonstrate. Johnson said something back in the dug out whilst walking over to him and raised his hand again (this time a little unclearer whether he flicked the Vs again or just waved his hand a bit). He then headed down the tunnel and the bloke walked off.

Well the footage widely available doesn't show 2 fingers. Anyway some fan gobbing off and gets some back surely is fair enough?
I dont support the fan because as people say if you give it you should expect it back.

However, pretty crass of a senior employee of the club to stick two fingers up to a customer.

We need a plan b because plan a is certainly not working.
'Customer'?

Do you have a link to the footage that is being widely shown?

Because I know what I saw, the bloke clearly knows what he saw. And because I know what I saw, I waited and watched the blokes reaction and second interaction with Johnson.

To the second point, I don’t think what the bloke said warranted the reaction Johnson gave. Johnson, as manager, should have been professional and ignored it or at the very most, shaken his head at him. You can’t be telling paying customers to fuck off. Johnson spent good parts of the game shouting at officials and none of them flipped the Vs at him. They showed professionalism.

Aye. It’s a figure of speech albeit an awkward term in football. But when money is handed over in exchange for a service provider that’s what people are.

It's further up this thread.
The bloke gave some abuse and got some back, I don't get the faux outrage.

Two points off top, game in hand (yes we need to win it), massive injury crisis and in the Quarter Final of the League Cup.

Doing a better job than most of our fan base make out imo.

Yes I'll receive criticism for this.

Today's boos and abuse is uncalled for. We dominated game, hit woodwork twice and an individual error from Gooch cost us two points.

Its absolutely crazy. But we’ve been here many times before. He’ll be hounded out shortly. Rince and repeat.

What a pathetic little nothing club we are these days. Imagine having a in depth discussion about this. Embarrassing.

Yes. Now seen the footage. And he quite clearly shows the Vs to the supporter in the stand (after he shouted something not particularly that abusive).

Unless the supporter said he didn’t shout anything at all, what has he lied about?

I think this would always raise discussions. Stories like this have made the back pages of the Echo during pre-season games. It was a big talking point when Kilbane did it.

If it’s embarrassing now it always has been in fairness

He hasn't really lied about owt. Just laid it on a bit thick as he thinks it will het him the sack.

Can't say I'd go running towards a manager to shout at them, and I definitely wouldn't ring a radio station if I got flicked the v's but each to their own.

Me neither. He didn’t go running to shout at him initially. He was in his seat, shouted and then Johnson turned round to the west stand where he was stood at his seat and flicked the Vs.

Then the bloke went down to shout at him and there was another ‘discussion’ between them. Plenty others shouting at Johnson by that point. Appeared that Johnson either flicked the Vs again or waved his hand.

Not sure what the bloke said on the radio but unless he said he never initially shouted at Johnson, not sure why he’s being called a liar. Highly strung and a bit wound up maybe

I was imagining LJ looking directly at him and pointing the v right at him going off his radio call. In reality its a dismissive half arsed gesture as he turns away. If that has upset him, maybe football isn’t for him.
