He’s just trying to catch up with the UK and get in on the action we have had for yours. Saudi are one of the UK’s biggest trading and diplomatic allies and the relationship is becoming more strategically important. We can’t blame Macron for wanting to improve France’s relationship with them.
Oh, I don't think he's any more or less amoral than our home-grown trough-guzzlers. Continued enabling of despots never ends well, though, and history doesn't look kindly on those responsible - it wasn't too long before the first Gulf war that Saddam was seen as a 'strategically important' ally of the West too, and MBS is cut from the exact same sociopathic cloth.

How does that work?

Tarkowski is out of contract at the end of the season. He’ll have a whole host of mid table teams to pick from.

Very well. Here is the Government’s description of it following a Saudi Royal Visit in 2018:

And this is from Wikipedia, which has a whole entry called ‘Saudi Arabia - UK relations’:

“Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom are . There are more than 200 joint ventures between British and Saudi Companies, worth $17.5 billion, and some 30,000 British nationals are living and working in Saudi Arabia as well as nearly 100,000 Saudi nationals living in the UK. Saudi Arabia is the United Kingdom's primary trading partner in the Middle East and the United Kingdom is Saudi Arabia's closest European ally.

The UK has an embassy in , consulate in and trade office in . Saudi Arabia has an embassy and consulate in London.

In May 2021, the foreign ministries of Saudi Arabia and the UK met in London and discussed global issues and bilateral relations, as well as the issue of Palestine.” (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Arabia–United_Kingdom_relations)

f***ing French
The French have lost the plot. Nothing they do these days comes as much of a surprise. Like a sulky teenager.

Maybe they're organising another French day?

Or like Germany, who trade far more with Saudi than the UK does. They are one of Saudis biggest trading partners (top 5).

One of the only Western diplomats to meet, since the murder of the journalist. Says a fair bit about his stance.

If there was no risk of a nuclear armed Iran KSA would have much less impact. That’s the reason Macron is there - the investment is a side show.

if I was marking this work it’s a clear zero for using Wikipedia. Wiki is not peer reviewed, is user created but not a reliable source for other than basic information.
