The internet is full of articles about who they could buy in January, detailing a players talent, history, what their next move might entail etc. All seem to wrap up by concluding that they are unlikely to want to go there. I think they are going to have a few Phil Babb moments, but mostly stepping aside

Or players like Hazard and Coutinho who are on massive wages but have either lost what they once had or are injured all the time. That lot would wank themselves daft at having players like that on the payroll even if they can’t get them onto the pitch

Hazard on 416k p/w. Currently 30 with a contract expiring in 2.5 years. I've cited Ravenelli asking for 7 times his wages to go to Boro and someone mentions Shearer getting a huge salary to move to the mags so money does talk. If they want to offer Hazard a 5 year deal at something like 750k p/w I hope they do (195m overall plus a fee).

Coutinho is "only" on 146k p.w and has 18 months left on his deal. Perfect fit for mags due to reflective glory of Inter, Liverpool and Barca.
