WMS Who Owns Sunderland AFC?

What difference would it make if someone else owned the club?
Yes, that was the question.
It will make a huge difference, because that would mean the last blaggers would be centre stage, so yeh I think its hugely important unless you want to go back to them w*****s having a huge say, I certainly don’t.
it wouldn't mean that at all, it could be owned by others. The point, it makes no difference who owns the club, all the matters is how the club is run and funded. If that's KLD or some reclusive billionaire - so what?

Sound. Get the owner of Earthworks in town to own us and see if we see owt different if all owners are the same.

As I said, surely we're interest in how the club is ran and funded, not which individual owns it.

If the owner of Earthworks ran it well and invested all we needed, I'm fine with that.

Sunderland AFC are nine months removed from a reported takeover, yet fans still have no confirmation of who actually owns how much of their club. Chris Weatherspoon looks at a big question that needs answering.

The post appeared first on .

Good article that. @MADBOB THE MAKEM without revealing exact details, do Maddox own more than 41%?

Just looking at the pathetic club shop Christmas opening hours (basically closed the week leading up to Christmas). It's scary that something like this has Donald and Methvens grrubby paw prints all over it. Almost as if they're still pulling the strings.

There's a lot of bollocks in that long blog post and as far as I'm concerned is only trying to cause a shit storm.

The club is probably in a healthier place both on and off the pitch now since we've been in league one and probably the season before that as well.

Fans need to stop looking for things to have a pop at and instead just get behind the players, coach and the staff for the rest of the season and hope we achieve promotion.

There needs to be unity not division
IF the ownership or the club affects our strategy and even affects what choices we make as fans we have a right to ask. Id say that we have invested in the back room, on players we’ve spent more wisely mostly but not more money. Curious to know why. I’d say spending once we have improved data, scouting and recruitment is also wise, not spending because we have an opportunist with too much power holding back the club / business for personal gain would be debilitating and the article asks that question. Let’s see what the January window brings. A Cirkin level investment at right back , left wing, and in central midfield would tip things favourably for example.

I believe they did care (who wouldn't? Coming from Eastleigh to a sleeping giant in Sunderland) but it became too much for them after not achieving promotion at the first attempt. They messed up with quite a few things but there were some positive things they did as well.

However, like many if not everyone, was happy to see the back of them and grateful they didn't send us the way of Bury etc.

Mental that anyone can still defend the pair of wankers like.
Would this have been written if we were sat top of the league?

Yes. Chris isn’t the type to knee jerk or do things because of current performances on the pitch. He genuinely cares about the club and asks the questions may not have the skill set to ask.

Being a qualified accountant gives him knowledge of the world of business that I and many others don’t have. I’m interested to know the answers to the questions he’s raised. Without people like him, the club can get away with whatever they like.
