In brief, I’m guessing it was because GOM said something about the author of the WMS piece previously ‘demanding’ he ask certain questions at a RAWA meeting and said author has said that was a misrepresentation and asked GOM to correct it on the forum.

Now there’s a big thread with a public apology that may not have actually been requested but it’s being allowed to grow legs as if it was requested in this fashion.
