He's not been happy with some things I've said (probably with good cause), and wanted to clear the air. I made a new thread because I wanted to make it clear that I was, in effect, withdrawing some comments. We'll undoubtedly disagree on details in future, but will make our views and leave it like that. He did specifically ask me to put the comment out.
