WMS Who Owns Sunderland AFC?

the club never promised donald et al would not be involved.
I’ve never said the club have. People know D&M are involved. It’s how much % wise that people want to know.
It was bad enough when Donald did his first disappearing act, around the time the Daily Mail article came out which showed what he was up to, and he organised an internet pile-on of Chris Wetherspoon for asking the right questions.

It was fairly sickening to watch SAFC fans believe everything Donald said and launch into Chris Wetherspoon with tirades of online abuse.

And to see some of the same people who previously stuck up for everything that Donald did, and launch into personal attacks, now on this thread trying to have a go at him for asking really fundamental, really basic questions that could and should have been answered months ago, is beyond belief tbh.

He is right to ask these questions. We are all entitled to answers on the questions he is raising. Given the history of some of the people still apparently involved in the club, though we don't know on what basis, he is right to raise these in advance of the meeting to put pressure on to get a proper answer, not just a fobbing off of people who will be bought off with a pint in the Hilton before they move onto the size of the shelves in the concourse or the availability of craft ales.
POTT

KLD owns the majority. Surely that's all that matters in reality? Just because a new plan hasn't worked perfectly from the off he's written that pile of shite.

Basically, recent results have taken a dive, so lets pull on and spin as many potential negatives, despite the many unknowns.

Whinging on because KLD spoke to Jim White, the same as Donald did man (he knows Jim White, although an arse, is one of the biggest journalists/reporters aye?)

It's just petty, misguided negativity imo, especially when concluded with this:

"The question has been put to the football club in recent weeks and, to their credit, they have confirmed the club’s aim is ‘to ensure supporters have full visibility and understanding of the ownership, the structure and how the club operates.’ An explanation of all of the above is now expected at the next Supporters’ Collective meeting, set for tomorrow night – Tuesday November 30th."

Making it all a non-issue anyway
Maybe if more supporters had the balls to stand up to the ***** who have ruined the club like he has we wouldnt be in this shit. Try reading the article instead of spouting shite.

Comes down to the difference between being a journalist and a blogger then I suppose. It’s not particularly professional to let personal gripes guide your writing.

Some people seem obsessed with the idea of CM and SD still having some shares. It seems pretty clear why that happened but that they aren’t really involved much. I suppose he’s got more of a right to be upset about it than most like.

It isn’t just about whether they have shares. We know they have shares. It’s about the extent and whether they’re funding accordingly.

If he is just a blogger, he’s doing well. It’s well structured and far more articulate and incisive than many professional journalists articles I’ve read.

I did read it mate. I even quoted some of it.

I disagree it was necessary or timed well.

They're answering that very question tomorrow.

before that happens it will be whose funding the club everyday its open...its a long way to go before anyone can think of selling what they own now for a profit
We know that. Do you think we believe there’s huge profits to be made flogging a failing club in a L1 playoff position?

If it is 51%, the idea of KLD putting decent money into signings is down the toilet. Surely with a transfer spend of say, 2 million, he’d want the other lot to stick a few sterling’s in the tin? Good luck with that.

the business plan he submitted to the league contained commitments for them to fund the club alongside him...so he must have been expecting them to be involved.
I know, but like I say the question is why he expected them to be involved. There's a difference between "they wouldn't sell 100% of the club, but I thought it was a good deal anyway so they're here for now and as soon as possible they'll be gone" and "I think they can add something so I want them involved". Aware you'd obviously never get an answer like that btw, but if it's near to the former then fair enough, if near to the latter then there'll be genuine cause for concern

Neither do I. As an observer myself I see a lad who has the best intentions for this club wanting to see transparency.

His campaign to here the truth about the clubs ownership:

- Saw an owner orchastrate a social media abuse pile on
- Saw an ownership group report him to police
- Saw him have to leave his job to be able to continue asking questions
- Saw an owner name him in a fans meeting to orchastrate more abuse
- Saw an exec brag about calling the police on him to silence him (which didn't work)
- Saw many of our fans attack and discredit him

All when he was ultimately correct in what he said and what he campaigned for.

Now he's asking again for transparency (that we have been promised) over a query that has been raised since the takeover happened and again there's people attacking him.

If it's a chip on his shoulder he has that is his motive then I'd much prefer that than him sticking his fingers in his ears and shouting because he might not like the answer he gets as we would still be sitting here with Donald tearing the club apart and Parkinson bottling post match interviews.

Spot on. I’ve never met the lad, but he deserves massive credit for trying to dig into the previous owners, rather than just be a subversive lickspittle, and accept their lies, as he obviously had the clubs best interest at heart, unlike some around that time.
The fact they made a point of threatening him with legal action/intimidation and he didn’t crumble, is credit to his character.

they have already commited to doing it and indeed but millions into the club of their own..

Yeah, but as he mentions, the club have already committed to answering them at the meeting. Not really a criticism, I've said he's doing a lot of good stuff and has done throughout, but I'd have thought a discussion with those attending to make sure the key questions are covered would have been more appropriate than a public article. If the club don't give the answers tomorrow then articles etc would be more called for. But either way, glad he's still asking the questions and highlighting when they go unanswered
By posting the article now, it gets all of the ownership concerns in one place and is helpful to the Club as they can work their way through it, answering each point, it shouldn't be difficult for them
