Actually I wouldn’t be surprised. Can’t see how it’s not football related being as it’s a thread about one of our posters being banned for discussing football.
Under McKeag they were skint and plummeting towards the 3rd division. John Hall comes along and throws money at the club at a time when no one else was spending big money. They got promoted just as the PL kicked off and nearly bought their way to the title. When staring administration in the face, along comes Ashley who never carried out due diligence and saves them from doing a ‘Leeds’ or ‘Sunderland’. Despite 2 relegations, the owner provides sufficient funds to bounce straight back. Then the Saudi’s come along and all their financial worries disappear.
