Paine quits in tears over explicit texts

Maybe so, but then I have even less sympathy for him

The cynic in me says that the sympathy card is being played, but I could well be wrong

Whatever is going on now the fact is you have a married man who has a pregnant wife. He chooses to send sexually explicit texts to a colleague then sends a dick pic asking to be ‘finished off’

If anyone gives this f***ing arsehole any sympathy then you need to seriously look at yourself. Imagine that his wife is your daughter and he behaved like that….would you want to forgive him and feel sorry for him?

He should be eternally grateful that his missus has not kicked him to touch. The whole episode is seedy as fuck and Cricket Australia come out of this looking just as dodgy as he does

This was years ago, his wife already knew. The fact that it has become public is neither here nor there, frankly. And it’s hardly been a massive story anyway

Whilst I wish anyone with mental health issues well, I’m somewhat cynical about this

maybe being unfair of course.
I tend to agree but given the mental health issue combined with my default position of ultra cynic and I thought I best keep it to myself.

All seems very convenient.

I hope in the coming week Joe Root says something along the lines of "The Ashes start on 8th December, and we are all here for it, whether Tim Paine is or not."

See he's releasing an autobiography and stirring it up with the South Africans claiming they were working on the ball in the match after sandpaper gate.

Not chance that was the first time the Aussies had used sandpaper. Just the first time they were caught. They had the ball hooping in the preceding ashes to their tour of South Africa.
