Guess who shared the top table with Johnson (PM not our manager 😀) at the Tory Fund Raising Ball last night.
The Rueben brothers 🤬

Donated something like 6m quid to the tory party and the biggest lobbyist against the removal of flameable panels on high rises (aka Grenfell) as it would affect many of there London owned properties.
Cheaper to buy off government than actually make your property safe

As a Newcastle supporter I see nothing whatsoever in my club that I can lend my support to. Even watching the match last Saturday (on telly, they aren't getting another red cent from me) I was actually asking myself if I wanted them to win. Whatever the problems off the pitch I've usually been.able to lose myself in the game once it kicked off. However, the thought of KSA and the Reuben Brothers deriving anything at all from their ownership sickens me. Once you add Reverend Wraith into the mix it's nigh on impossible to maintain any positive feelings. It might be the best thing if we get relegated. I'm sure most on here would agree with that last statement... but it's a big step for me.

Bottom of the league but yet the Ox and Origi will leave Liverpool…comments also.

Aye Loftus Cheek back in Chelsea plans played 50 odd mins in the CL last night is a realistic target for those deluded tits

Very noble of the choppers to give Christian Ronaldo the night off from selling the pies to score in the Champions League for Man Utd

Most would just wish you would crawl back under your tea- towel and fuck off

This is where I struggle to get my head around the takeover

What exactly are the Saudis, Staveley and the Reubens actually getting from this? This board would have you believe its all about Saudi sportswashing, but Staveley and the Reubens will want to make money.

They won't make much if the club is run anything but sensibly. But sensible doesn't fit with the sportswashing message. The Saudis presumably want success and an image boost.

Newcastle might spend huge in the next few years. The PiF can afford it, but where does that leave the others. They want to make cash presumably and blowing huge sums on wages, infrastructure and transfer fees chasing success would seem to be at odds with that. They're wealthy business people. But they don't have the billions to burn that the PiF do

Which leaves me to think that the aim is to build up the club and flog it for a short term profit. Which would suit the Ruebens and Staveley.
But that would make me uncomfortable if I was a Newcastle fan as well. Who are they going to sell to, and how are they going to make money? The amount of money that needs spending is phenomenal, and the returns limited. Especially if the long term project is delayed by a relegation.

I'm obviously a little biased, but even with the red and white shirt taken off... I have a very strange feeling this might all end in tears

1. OK thats impressive. Good attendences
2. Are you sure about that? Football finances can be messy. They have no debt now... sure but owners have loaned money to clubs before and wanted it back. Remember Staveley loaned money from St James Holdings/Ashley.
3. Really? Once maybe. But there are probably 20 or 15 better stadia in the UK. You were all saying it was dropping apart when Ashley was at the helm!
4. Believe it when you see it. Talk is very cheap. New owners always promise things. George Reynolds is a good example.
5. Your players aren't good enough to need them.

Full on Saudi ownership if and when the dust settles. The Ruben's and Staveley are just a vehicle for them to get a foot in the door. The Ruben's connections in the corridors of power and Staveley the face to get the masses on board with it all. They will be rewarded handsomely along the way by the Saudis.

Also, you have no onerous contracts... yet

Let's see how January plays out shall we. Signing players in the relegation zone, in January, when you have all sung about how much money you have, and when the rest of the league hates you.....

That's going to be a magnet for overinflated prices and onerous contracts

I dunno if the Reubens are hoping to do some dodgy land and development deals with the council like Man City and package it as "regeneration" whilst actually f***ing people over who need cheap housing,

Exile needs legendary status for his 1 man crusade to absolutely torture the Mags on Twitter ! 👏
They are promoting pro Saudi bile desperately trying to mask the huge problems that their new owners bring.
It's been mentioned that if it wasn't them they would be getting unparalleled criticism from every form of media going, sadly for us they aren't really getting it as much as they should. So Exile's exploits are all the more important because of this.
