Remember the wailing and handwringing when we got Di Canio. And he hadn’t even taken a bonesaw to anyone. Nor had he bombed any school busses. It would have been off the scale Kaz. It strange that the ones that were bumping their gums about that have been silent about this. Apart from the ones actively supporting it.

The hysterics over appointing Di Canio is proof of that. An ex-player (never a major issue in his playing days) turned to management who had some fascist views from a country with a fascist history. Hardly stacks up against genocidal, kiddie-killing, minority persecuting owners. From Caulkin to SKY pundits, the difference in reaction has been jaw-dropping.

Even I’m surprised how little has been written in condemnation and I wasn’t expecting too much in the first place but Simon Bird and Culkin have really disappointed me. Expected more of them
