Forthcoming gigs.

Yeah 100% mate, literally after every song it was "toon toon" chants but it was a good point that Sam himself didn't make any footy references. I did laugh when he mentioned the Newcastle Vipers though! It was an amazing gig, I've been going to the Arena since Oasis in 97 (when I was 13) and never seen or heard the crowd react like that, truly incredible. It was great when he told the crowd "it's all finally starting to sink in" for him seeing him play to a packed out arena.
The flags and coming out to local hero , his whole band in black and white .

He didn’t mention it but he is hardly discouraging it

Musically he is great and enjoyed it

He’s had his moment, sell out local gig, now he needs to reign it in because it’s nauseating!

surely it’s not just us mackems that find it so?

Only heard the "toon toon" chants after the first 2 or 3 songs really then it seemed to die off (at least from my seats near the front).
It was a very typical "oasis" type of crowd to be fair which would put me off from going to see him again up here in all honesty. Can't be doing with gigs where its about acting like you're at the match, giving it the big licks and shit.
Personally, thought the flags and shit was cringe worthy. But of course I am bound to say that as a SAFC fan and as mentioned can see why they did. Don't think he needs to play up to that side of things at all.

The saxophonist has worn that coat thing for a while to be fair.

The Gang of Youth frontman rolled out a few tedious digs at Sunderland to play up to it. Sam Fender could well have done exactly the same given he's the man on the mic, but chose not to and stuck to the music along with just soaking in the whole thing. Which lets be honest, must have been overwhelming given where he's come from so quickly (ignoring the "covid gap").

In the two year hiatus I’d forgotten how utterly sensational Skinny Lister are live. Heading in to breakfast at the Premier Inn this morning and Dan from the band is queuing behind us. Rock n roll lifestyle.

Working men’s club tonight.
really looking forward to it
How was the re-arranged Working Men's Club gig last night ?
Went to see Martin Stephenson at the Sage, so was really disappointed that WMC was put back to Saturday night.
Did anyone else see Martin Stephenson at the Sage ? What did you think, as it was the first time I've seen him ?

I went to see WMC last night, was really disappointed, seemed like they were just playing to a backing track and you could hardly hear the vocals.

They were good mate, played some new stuff that was great. The sound wasnt the greatest but it was a good turn out.

The sound on the vocals was a bit echo-y I thought
