they are going to have to seriously increase their season ticket prices if they think that will make a difference. an extra 200 quid for 50,000 tickets is only 10m extra. one of joelintons legs.
gate receipts are a small source of income now. they never seem to get that, and that 50k gates means they should have enormous spending power. it doesnt.
In one of the comments, they reckon they could sell 100k tickets at an average of 1k each bringing in 100m. That would get them 2 Joelintons a year.

The only problem is they are currently struggling to give away the seats they do have.

The professional Geordies will be flooding back for the big games. Your genuine fan on minimum wage can likely not afford a season ticket. Could very well end up like Man City. I went to my only CL game there v Bayern Munich on a freebie. I have never witnessed a worse atmosphere at a game. Match was nowt special and everyone around me was a tourist recording everything. Ironically I turned down a free ticket to the famous LFC v Barca game as I can't get myself excited for them at all. Turns out I missed one of the best LFC games ever! But give me Crewe away any time!

I have spent years in Saudi Arabia within the last 40 years. Doing What? you ask.
1. Teaching them how to use Global level Business IT systems.
2. Building, extending, repairing Global level Business IT Systems.
3. Training their employees to pretend they know how to use those systems (with my despairing objectives of actually getting them to be awake for long enough to be able to do so ).

Laziness is their key. Their usual plan is to take a senior job and then hire a European or American to actually do the work for them.
Key two is fundamental dishonesty.
Key three is passing decision making to "somebody else" without providing any facts for the decision, then blaming them for failure.

All building up to the result. Failure --- but never their fault.

Good luck Mags / Mugs
Totally agree and have experienced the same flaws in my dealings with Saudi companies.. there is a cultural issue in that they seem unable to be able to take no for an answer and as you say will never admit fault or concede defeat.. there are always exceptions of course but let’s hope not in this case 😉

This fella is corrupt as fuck and not for the reasons people seem to be suggesting on here.

He was appointed despite having clear links with Qatar and Bein sports to stop the takeover. He is now facing being 'removed' because he couldn't do that.

More blatant proof of corruption doesn't exist. He 'technically' followed the rules of the EPL to pass the takeover. Whether we like it or not he eventually acted as he should (as rules currently stand). To remove him now, shows he was appointed with an agenda.

Newcastle fans said this all along.
Funny how the corruption campaign ended once the corruption went your way.

Nowt was ever confirmed
I look forward to them hiring some clueless numpty with a penchant for spending money like a drunken sailor.
Roll on January when they unveil their two big signings. ndong and Djiloboji hundred and fifty million apiece. 6 year contracts.

They seem to be delighted that all the new owners have done in two months is hire a youth coach from the third division and an out of work manager, as well as lots of Stuart Donald-like chat of course.
