I'm assuming this is a quote of some mental mag trying to justify it as opposed to his view.

It's clearly been written by somebody unstable.

That one's been thrown around for a while.

He knew Bin Laden and there's a picture doing the rounds of him carrying an RPG.

So that apparently in some way excuses his assassination for being critical of MBS.

The only reason it gets so high is because the mods merge every single mag related thread into one. If they did the same with, let's say, Sunderland match threads, that would beat it. We had over 60 pages just for the Bradford papa johns game that we didn't need to win.
To be fair, I politely disagree. We have had nearly 2000pages since the takeover was announced. In that time, we have played 2 games. You wouldn't get 2k pages for two games.

You could probably collate all things Sunderland into one thread and not get that many pages.

It's because it's a contentious issue and because a lot of your fans do enjoy a Newcastle thread. That coupled with international breaks and fuck all else happening.

I'm waiting for Wilfred to show up at my door with a brown paper bag full of Rials before I switch allegiance and say Kate is real and bought me a white chocolate kinder bueno

Please read comment #195. Those words were a comment in the mag article and In no way reflect my own views
Just seen it bud. Thought you had gone batshit crazy for a minute there.

It should be capped at the highest current amount and open for everyone to reach that. Otherwise it punishes clubs not tied in.
I don't think it should. It wouldn't be fair market value that a club who has a sponsor on their shirts in the champions league can only get the same as one who isn't in Europe at all. Obviously in terms of fair market rate companies would pay a lot more for a team in the PL and champions league than they would for one in the europa league or one not in Europe at all. European football is major exposure for their "brand". So take the highest amount of teams in the CL, Europa and not in europe and base it on that. Do it over, say, three years, if you're in Europe during that time you can use the European level for your next 3 year deal

Probably because we don’t do things like this

I don't disagree with that. As long as it's open and achievable to all if they get there.

That was one of the comments on the thread I probably didn't highlight that fact enough.
I’m surprised its taken them this long to discover he was embedded as a journalist with the mujahideen when the Russians were in Afghanistan. He was also a member of the Muslim brotherhood when he was a youngun. What, I would like to know, is their point?

Sick of this "one city, one club" crap the mags chant like some mantra. Like Sunderland, even the boro and Leeds don't count. Even Lawrenson on Footy Focus, mentioned it. Some mag at work just said it, quickly put him right. Then you get the whatabouterism, then everybody hates us and the best one 14 seasons of hurt under Ashleigh. The ruchest club in the "wurld like" is very annoying now, they are very special.

Aye, it does need looking into, in the name of fair sporting competition. That being said, I can see why the mags would be a bit pissed off that it never really reared its head until NUFC got their takeover. Said it before, if it wasn't the Saudis and it wasn't Newcastle, I'd love seeing the "big 6" collectively shitting themselves. All been happy to have an uneven playing field for years, now there might be 7 teams so even more of them might miss out on CL money, all of a sudden its an issue that has to be addressed. Fair play wasn't so important when "project big picture" was pulling up the drawbridge or the European super league was destroying the entire pyramid. Arseholes.
