The problem was, although EVERYONE knew this, they were never convicted on any charges. You would be hard pushed to get that past a decent lawyer too.
Correct, so instead they delayed in the hope it would go away. It almost did. But instead push came to shove and the Qatar's received what was rightfully theirs.

Boris - "lads you have to push this through. I'm getting it in the neck (no pun intended) from Salmon";

Masters/Hoffman - "Boris, you tool they are showing the prem for nowt in Saudi. If we let that continue we'll get two bob for the next TV round. Have a word with him".

Boris - "Will do!".

Boris - "Lads, he's going to knock out an extra 20m barrels of oil tomorrow and pay the Qatari's off".

Masters/Hoffman - "I'll give Mike a bell and tell him".

As long as it's balanced I couldn't give a shit. Genuinely. What's not ok on the other end is to allow shite like Mike Ashley pulled. Fair advertising costs should mean that a club can't be used like ours were. 151k a year compared to teams making 10's of millions is a f***ing joke. Where was the uproar then?
I am also not so sure the sponsorship issue will end when expected.

If we had the reported wealth of the owners and we were saying Eddie Howe was a 'statement' I'd be concerned. The mags however are 'wur tha richest club in tha world'
The clubs a basketcase thats just about managed to avoid the rubberoom nightmares and charlatans we've endured to our great cost. But the expectation is off the scale... even though its highly possible they will go down.

Howe is a proven lower league manager ... but not imho the miracle worker then need to save them this year.

When January comes around they maybe too far gone for any significant signings to accept making the drop

I know you are not a fool but a 120m loan at a rate like MSD charge of 7.9% is 9.48m. There was not many seasons where the mags had 9.48m kicking about and if it was compounded for 14 years a whopping 347m at the end. He has left the ground, academy, structure in a shite state but that's the Prem for you - most of the cash goes on transfers and wages. If the academy, ground etc. were in good shape the loan to Mike would have been so large that you would still be owned by him as the sale price of 305m or so would have given him peanuts once the debt was paid off. I think the toon are barking up the wrong tree with this advertising talk. Let's see where Queen Mandy stands when 200m is needed for a signings, wages and a new training ground and needs to find 20m.

That "lawyer" is REALLY interesting.

If you check her timeline she was all over "KateStewert22" calling her out as a bot and criticising her for attacking Khashoggi's widow.

Then at the weekend she just flipped to the opposite and gave her unconditional support - and won't answer any questions as to why she's flipped.
She must have had a “visit” from the Reverend

Come on man - Saudi was stealing the product that makes the Prem so valuable. Yes, he was an ally to Bein but if it wasn't for the IP theft he would have been powerless to let the takeover go through. It took the Saudi's 18 months to stop being stubborn and make good with Bein then the takeover went through.
Hopefully they'll be just as stubborn when it comes to transfers and take 18 months to pull out their wallet each time 😂

This fella is corrupt as fuck and not for the reasons people seem to be suggesting on here.

He was appointed despite having clear links with Qatar and Bein sports to stop the takeover. He is now facing being 'removed' because he couldn't do that.

More blatant proof of corruption doesn't exist. He 'technically' followed the rules of the EPL to pass the takeover. Whether we like it or not he eventually acted as he should (as rules currently stand). To remove him now, shows he was appointed with an agenda.

Newcastle fans said this all along.
Your possibly right but when you’re relegated you’ll be knackered as they’ll change the rules to restrict PIF’s involvement even more than FFP

That's about the height of it. The Chairman can F off now as his job's done - they've got the telly money from KSA, which is all they were bothered about.

Of course they weren’t convicted, the PL tried 3 times to take them to court for piracy but no one in Saudi would take the case on, for obvious reasons.

They’ve never been convicted of war crimes or crimes against humanity, but it‘s fairly common knowledge they have carried out these crimes.

In my dealing with the ME I have found decisions to be slow. This new sporting director needs to know if he has the final say to push the button or does it need rubber stamping by MBS....sorry, he's not involved PIF. I do hope the latter which will make Transfer Deadline Day hilarious. They are going to get absolutely rinsed by clubs and agents.

I agree. It's hard to get that to stand up as a reason without any legality behind it. The piracy was investigated and they were found not to be guilty (nonsense) just not by this country. Again, if that's the only example, it makes it even harder to allege or prove.
