The Saudis are sportswashing. The fans (not all) who shout down arguments about the regime with "what about uber, you're just as bad" are doing the exact same job that the Saudi state created their twitter troll farm for.To shout down, dilute and disrupt discussion or criticism.
The ones with Saudi flags in avatars, or who bring Saudi flags to games, wear Saudi dress etc are helping to legitimise them, it's showing that they (and by extension their actions) are tolerated in a liberal city. If you're a fan who just watches their club, doesn't stick up for or promote the Saudi regime, and doesn't get involved in whataboutery then I've got no axe to grind (pardon the choice of phrase).

First of all I have no desire to take Saudi flags or wear Saudi headdress or promote anything that is deemed atrocious.
I can't help who takes the club over regardless of whether people think I can.
I can stop supporting and being a fan of Newcastle United to appease people...but I won't. I won't because I'm a Newcastle United supporter and fan and have been nigh on all my life barring being too young to know.
I'll keep saying this, as and when I'm pulled up.
If people do want to discuss or protest about the Saudis blatantly buying a football club to help sportswash their image then it shouldn't be derailed by legions of Newcastle supporters.
If Newcastle supporters are on the end of the digs then they're going to counter those digs. It's only normal to do so.
I'm not attacking normal mags who probably dislike the Saudi regime, aren't on social media defending it but who are still going to go and watch their club, I'd do the same.
I'm not defending it but I'm accused of defending it.
Why?
Because I'm using counter arguing about morals when people try to use smaller percentage ownership against larger percentage and saying there's a cut off point where it doesn't count as partaking for them and so their morals are intact.

I wouldn't want the Saudi regime owning safc but I'd be fucked if I was going to let them take my club from me.
Fine and it's so easy to say this for anyone.
We can all say whatever we want about anything if it's not happening to us. The proof is in the pudding and the eating of it when it does happen, to see what's really what.
You may have a stance where you genuinely know you'd give up your club if it happened. I'd suggest most wouldn't and the ground would fill up even if there was an initial stance against.

It literally is the nature of the beast within us.
It doesn't mean anyone has to openly, vocally support a regime that's deemed atrocious.

You've spent hours (days) of your time/life doing that on this thread alone. It now seems you haven't even realised it which shows how well it's working.
I'm fine and stand by what I've said.
Repeatedly and incessantly legitimising the Saudi regime on another clubs forum with cries of Uber and Disney.
I'm not crying for anything. I'm merely debating morals and how they're extremely subjective.
If I'm hit with the same stuff I'll offer the same answers.
Make sure you rinse the soap off or you will get itchy skin.
I'm as clean as can be, so I'm fine.

Please tell me you're not being serious. The fans are doing the dirty work in trying to clean the image of the saudi state on a daily basis.
No, they're not. You can't clean any image of anyone if people have that image already ingrained as atrocious.
Fans are (in the main) being fans of the football club and are not actively pushing anything other than their club.
A few wearing headdress is not the majority.
They jump on any critical voice of tbe regime en masse.
No. They jump on any critical voice against the city/club and fans and it's argued back.

They are heavily involved in sportswashing of the saudI regime and to suggest otherwise is f***ing crackers.
They may be heavily into all kinds of stuff to clear their image. They aren't sports washing me. I'm not singing their praises, I sing the club's. If that's deemed as me being sports washed then people can go with that.

The question is have they had a good start to their ownership? The answer is yes. I don't have a crystal ball and I don't think you do either so let's just stick to what we know to be true.

Good start is relative.
They've sacked a manager... and took 3 games to replace him

They've said the same shit every new owner does.

They've had some windows washed.

Don't get carried away

Bizarre that someone who videos and photographs at every opportunity did not take a snap with ms stewart. I can't say this on twitter as he blocked me for saying he will say and do anything for followers.
even one of their top targets SG turned them down for Aston Villa 😂

Don't be ridiculous Hank. Why would they choose SG with no prem experience over EH. Or for that matter BR who bottled it and won nothing when he was at a club the same size as NUFC. The only one who turned it down was Emery and he didn't back himself enough to accept a relegation clause. They would have had 2002-2006 Jose but 2021 Jose is not good enough anymore and it would be a sentimental appointment and Mandy doesn't do sentiment.

Have you not read the brief?
