So basically if these very same people went to take over Sunderland you would cease to be a fan and supporter....right?
And you would expect/hope everyone would follow suit, then have the club open to potential outside interest or even dissolved....right?

Yes…in an idealistic world.

but we would never have let it happen in the first place. If the Super League was stopped because of public outcry then so could a potential takeover.

No body imagined the Premier League would casually wave through your takeover. Most fans probably thought it was a non-starter because a) human rights and b) they were effectively stealing from the Premier League by pirating coverage.

The takeover was probably waived through because of governmental pressure in the name of international diplomacy and Boris wanting to make the U.K. feel like a champion of free trade when international trade is such a big issue due to Brexit.

Based on Edward VIII Premier League record with Bournemouth I have projected forward...will 35 points be enough to survive. This is of course with a brand new squad.....fingers crossed this is not enough.

Yes.

There's no point trying to fantasise out an awful outcome, A club owned by one of the richest countries in the world would do fine without my support.
The idea that "you must unthinkingly support your club whilst owned by a bloke sportswashing genocide with it because if I don't it might go bust" is a nonsense argument.

If we're making this about me and SAFC rather than the real issue which is you and NUFC?

If SAFC's owner was unapologetically and directly involved in the death of 100,000 people because "they pray to the right god but pray in the wrong way."?
And he was using my club as a PR exercise.

At that point I'm out. The club I fell in love with has ceased to exist. And would stay so until he was gone.

I get the gist alright.
You are the three wise monkeys rolled into one. 🙈🙉🙊
Spreading the accusations around by mentioning staff and catering etc to attempt to dilute your lack of morals just doesn’t wash.
I'm not interested in whether you think it washes. That's your view and you're welcome to it.
By saying “The politics of what's behind the owners or their country is for politicians to argue and decide on.” is utter bollix.
Actually it's not.
If the government has allowed this and the FA has allowed this then what does that say?
What you decide to do in this example of State Sportswashing is totally down to you.
I'll simply do what I've just about always done in my life. Be a Newcastle United fan and supporter.
If the people of this country get together and out all the bad people from it then I'm all for it.
Any chance that will happen?
You have the direct choice in deciding whether to ignore the fact that you are willing to take an active role in the ‘sportswashing’ or not.
I'll take an active role in being a fan and supporter of Newcastle United football club.
Whatever you think is involved other than that, is your mindset. And again, you're welcome to it.
Saying that you are against the things that the Saudi government (and therefore the 80% owners of your club) practise and then purposely assist in the ‘sportswashing’ just does not cut it.
I'm against lots more as I'm sure you are.
If none of it cuts it with you or like-minded people like yourself then it's not my concern.
It is akin to Howe saying “I’m just interested in the football”,
Which is all he needs to be.

while applying for the job and taking the blood money…
He's being paid like any other person is paid for services to their employer or customer.
.except you are actually putting money INTO the club

Yep, I'm a supporter and a fan of the club.
and being a flag waver for the Saudis by doing so.
Nope. Just Newcastle United football club.
Does my money go to the PIF. I expect it will. But then it brings us right back down to any money paid for anything to do with the PIF is no different.
I take it you don't put any money into it...right and never done so?

I would say that it was naive, but I think you know exactly what you could do.
There's plenty of things in life that can be called naive and plenty of people can be called gullible. Also plenty of hypocrites and so on and so on and so on.

It's all subjective and that goes for a so called stance on morals.

The fact that Gerrard has ended up at Villa and Lampard at Norwich puts paid to all that nonsense that they turned Newcastle down , they clearly weren’t wanted .
Absolute 100% shite.
Despite you desperately wanting them to ,no player or manager is ever going to give a shit about any of that .
Absolute 100% bollocks.

To think Barcelona refused sponsorship for years as a dirty word that ruined your kits look. They melted for UNICEF, a good cause and but now its just snowballed .
Always felt that the unicef thing was a bit cynical. Use a good cause to get the fans onside with the idea of having a sponsor on the shirt. As soon as that happened they'd have been planning for their next one to be a big revenue generator. Can understand why they'd do it from a business point of view mind

er, er, whatabout, whatabout, whatabout, er, er. I bet you were that kid at school that always grassed other kids with "but he did it too" thinking it was a solid defence.

It’s nowt to do with the FA. The FA has no say in the PL. Theres 20 voting shares held by its 20 members. The FAs pretend involvement was a con to convince them public it was gonna be good for the National game and revenge on the FL for splitting with FA in 1890.
