All that is true but every year we are down here is an under- achievement.
Its our level unfortunately ,the tables tell you that.Hopefully not for much longer
.It hasnt been that long in the scheme of things but on the road to here we should have all learned there isnt a easy solution
We've had pots of money ,big name managers ,big name players and despite it all we're here

So why add to it then. Just post on the other one.
The other one? There's about 47 man of the same shite. The very same people, no doubt, who 4 weeks or so ago were creaming their kegs thinking we were gonna walk the league.

I spent all summer trying to convince people we needed a keeper and should sign McGillivray and our 'plan/project adherents' told me to jog on.... I think I do have a problem with happy clappers, but it comes from when they're stop clapping and start lecturing their fellow fans, that we have this time come up with a cunning 'project' and just two more transfer windows and we will fly up the leagues and its always two more windows with the true believers and apart from the Parkinson era which was simply us adrift again, all of them had a cunning plan.

Its patently obvious to anyone with even an ounce of objectivity, that Johnson has lost direction and to be frank was never wholly inline with the truth in the first place. I think Warnock would be a breath of fresh air and a return to reality, where the truth is spoken in an unadulterated fashion and we the fans are treated as grown ups and not naughty silly children posting inane babble on niche sites.
He's on par with Burge man, just an average L1 keeper.

Season after season it’s the same excuses we are a premier league club with a third rate coach

Because we give coaches less than two years to turn it round when realistically they need more time because a lot of damage has been done over the years.

However, If we continue to hire and sack coaches after a season or season and a half, we'll keep making the same mistake.

In league one we have reached our bottom, it's highly unlikely we'll go down to league two. So, what we need is a long term plan and stick with a coach for that plan even if it takes a season or two or even three to achieve what we want to achieve.

By name, Sunderland is a big club but it doesn't give us a right to deserve promotion or be automatic favourites for it.

We are far and away the biggest club with the best finances in league 1
It’s not too much to ask for the powers that be to hire and procure the right coaches and players to get us a rapid promotion
I’ve had enough of plans and projects that they say will get us there in two or three or more years I’ve had this same shit for over 60 years of watching ?
At present we are on a par with a poor league 1 team at best and going downhill rapidly
I’m getting old and tired and getting more and more sick of the utter bullshit that my expectations are too high in wanting out of this horrible league as fast As possible. Its always the fans fault ?? My arse

all well run teams have plans and projects. swhoever gets promoted will have had a plan and proect, a project is just a short term goal that fits within a wider strategy...safc may not have the best finances in this league...

By attendance and income and you could also include the actual background wealth of the owner
the wealth of the owneris his inancial wealth..nothing to do with safc.
income counts for little if expenditure is greater-which it has been for many years.

the new oxford owner is i think several timeswealthier than kld.

I am sure you are incorrect we have by far a larger income than Oxford
and Ellis Short cleared the clubs balance sheet deficit so presumably the argument you are claiming about long term brought forward ongoing historical debts is also totally false. So what you claim is rubbish
You wanted to ignore the individual wealth of owners and then brought up the spurious details of the alleged individual owner of Oxford which is in fact backed by a consortium of overseas investors and power is not totally in the power of one main individual like our club is with KLD
So we have no massive long term deficit or loans to finance and our actual income is far greater than Oxford so you are totally wrong on both counts

ellis short didnt clear the balance sheet deficit..he reduced it but some debt was left behind. the reason the club lost 2.6m last time was alvarez money....of course safc hasa higher income than oxford and thats what matters not the owners wealth.

"(The Pizza Cup) is a competition that's beneath us."
First of all, we are a League One team and the Pizza Cup is an indication of our level. However, we should be grateful for it and the other cups as it gives our "alternative" players the chance to show what they're about and start pushing the "first-teamers" to up their standards. A case in point after Tuesday is Broadhead (immediately I would think) and Younger (soon I hope) claiming first team places and improving our performances in the league, which, you rightly say, is our priority.
We should be grateful for the pizza cup? It is beneath us, it seems you are exactly the type of fan who is happy to accept mediocracy. 'Alternative players' you mean squad players? You dont think in a 46 league season with a squad of 22 or other will not get that time anyway? You have to play a certain amount of first team players in the pizza cup anyway. I agree with Broadhead , but because of how the team is playing in the league I fully expect him to start when he gets back from injury.
Whatever people say when it comes to the later stages of the pizza cup it usually ends up with us putting a full first team out as the final gets closer. Our ultimate goal is promotion, there cannot be any distractions from that, none.

Do you think we can stamp our feet to success?

Donald would have have seen us stranded for the entirety of his time here and we did what we could. Not sure what else there is?

It is too much to ask any Sunderland fan for patience but what option do you have if you don't like it?

Good chance that we won’t go up this year and potentially a further couple of years in L1 - and Championship is particularly competitive and our squad is nowhere near good enough to compete so a good few years of improving the squad to stand any chance
Hope I’m wrong
It makes sense I suppose it took Leeds 16 years, so it’s possible you aren’t wrong.

Patience is one thing, but it does have a habit of running out eventually, then comes emotional reactions
