I know all clubs will have fans who lap this kind of thing up, but fuck me they've got a lot of them. Mention Robson and Keegan "he gets it", turn up to an NUFC foundation dinner because, when people already think the owners are a set of c unts it would be pretty bad press not to "they didn't have to do that, they get us", start work about 7am like loads in football and other industries do every day "he means business, he gets us". Mind, Steve Bruce is a Newcastle fan, so he no doubt gets the club more than any of the others, as soon as it suits their narrative that counts for absolutely nowt. Going to be hilarious if Howe is shit and the Saudis don't actually want to turn them into man city, the backtracking will be a sight to behold

Facing the press Howe made it clear his decision to be Manager was purely a football one when asked about the Saudi Human Rights issues...Why didn't a journalist ask HIM what he thought about the large amounts of money he could have at his disposal in transfer windows provided by this Saudi regime with terrible Human Rights issues

If on 1/1 they sign one of these realistic superstars who's current club wants shot - Dembele, Coutinho, Hazard, Ramsey, Bale.....then they mean business. Time will tell.

Definitely. He's a bigger name in football. Even discounting coaching ability, players around the world know who he is and would sign for him, whereas Howe would draw blank looks from most. More Who? than Howe.

Newcastle need a firefighter at the minute, not someone who's just relegated a team.
