They live in a parallel universe mate. If it doesn’t affect them directly or happen right in front of them it doesn’t matter. And if it doesn’t matter to them then it’s not worth thinking about. Even more so when there’s money to be made.

You're right. Watched start of a match the other day and when players took the knee the commentator said, along the lines if " it's nice to see , with what is going on in other sports, that football still reaches out for equality"

You can only be selective about these things if you don’t really care about them. They dont give a f**k about any of it. If they did they wouldn’t get exercised about racism and ignore this. The ones that might just give a shit won’t speak up in case it impacts them financially. They are the worst. They speak out about racism and the ESL but say f**k all about this. The THEN bit has really got my goat. I don’t yet dislike Eddie and wish the Villa job had come up sooner for him. I don’t recall any other manager joining a club and the train of thought being he will do for now before a big name comes in.
