IMO They needed to go for someone who has experience of working at a big club, working under pressure and scrutiny every day. He hasn't had that at Bournemouth. A little club on the south coast where most people support other teams. He failed in his other job where he left his comfort zone of the south coast. His inability to stop his teams conceding goals was chronic as well, not just 1 bad season. It was obvious that failure to address it would result in relegation, and that's exactly what happened. Could have been worse but wouldn't have been in the top 10 of my list.

I wish him luck. None of it good. He didn’t strike me as the sort of bloke who would take money from murderers, terrorist sympathisers and child killers but you never can tell.
